I’ve owned dogs and cats most of my life and I have spent the last few years house sitting and pet sitting for family and friends.

Melissa was great! She stayed at our house for 3 nights to care for our 15 year old yellow lab and two crazy cats. Communication was easy, all my critters were happy and Melissa left my house cleaner than when she arrived. Will definitely be a repeat customer!
I can’t say enough about our experience with Melissa. She went above and beyond. Not only did she do an exceptional job caring for our 3 dogs , but she made sure our house was completely neat when we got home, Even vacuuming because we have long hair dogs. I never asked her to do that. She just took the initiative. Not to mention she is extremely easy to work with. I will definitely be using her long term.
Melissa was nothing short of AMAZING! We have had some bad experiences with family/friends house sitting for us and taking care of our fuzzy kiddos (Maggie 11yo Dog & Callie 16yo Cat). Melissa's professionalism and pet care are second to none. Unfortunately, I think the care she gave Maggie and Callie was TOO GOOD - so much so that they didn't even bother greeting us when we got home :( On the bright side of that, I'd rather them be apathetic about our return than have them traumatized from poor care!!! Melissa was fabulous to work with throughout the week we were gone. She sent a couple of pictures and just gave us an overall sense of ease and peace of mind that Maggie and Callie were in GREAT hands!! We wouldn't hesitate to have Melissa sit for us again in the future - and likely will be using her terrific services when that time comes - I'm just hoping she's available when we need her!!! I cannot recommend Melissa enough for your pet care needs!!!
Melissa is the absolute best! She has watched our pup Rosco many times and I always know he is in good hands in her care. She always makes sure to pay special attention to any special needs your pet has and always makes sure they receive the absolute best care possible!

I ask every client exactly how they want their pets taken care of, and the more details you provide the better. I can administer medicine and adhere to special diets. I want your pets to get the same love and care they get when you are home, so anything you ask will be followed. Since I am staying in your home, I can bring in mail, make sure trash/recycling is brought out as needed, and do some light cleaning. I will vacuum/sweep to control the pet hair.

A typical day
I will make sure your pets get all the love they are used to getting. If they’re high energy, I’ll make sure there’s lots of running around and play time. If they like to just chill and relax, we can do that too. Please let me know if they have any special toys, games or places so I can make sure they are happy while you’re away.

Availability
I work full time, but it is a hybrid position. I only have to go into my office 2 days a week. I go in every Tuesday and the 2nd day is flexible. I work in Newton so depending on your location I may be able to come by in my lunch break to let pups out to go to the bathroom and run around a bit. I will modify my schedule to be home with your pups as much as possible while you are away!
