*Only accepting dogs over 2 years old* Hi! I'm so excited to meet your dog! I am available for daycare and boarding in my home. *I am currently only accepting dogs over 2 years old to make sure we always have a crew that has compatible social maturity. My priority is to ensure all dogs feel comfortable and confident in my home!* I am 28, a graphic designer, I love to garden, play ukulele and be outside with pups! I am from Long Island, NY, I moved to Boston in 2015. I have been involved in pet care for most of my life, professionally for eight years. I grew up with tons of different pets, I adore animals of all sizes and personalities. I was a dog walker throughout college and did lots of house sitting, I started daycare and boarding in my home when I brought home my dog, Coconut. I have experience handling dogs that need more TLC, structure, quiet time or excercise, I am flexible to adjust to your dog's needs. I am comfortable using most training/walking tools, collars and harnesses. I am confident monitoring safe play and reinforcing good behaviors. I love to let the dogs be dogs and have fun. I have a soft spot for mischievous dogs, they keep me sharp and on my toes, and keep my laughing! My Samoyed, Coconut is the real Rover host. He is 4 years old, neutered, friendly and has great play manners with dogs of all sizes. He is sweet, silly, mischievous, playful and smart. Our days are full of lots of fun, excercise, training and quiet times. We love having more pups in the house!

Sterling had an incredible time with Melissa and Coconut, and I would absolutely recommend anyone needing pet sitting services book with them! Melissa sent daily updates and plenty of photos/videos to keep us at ease while we were away, while Coconut kept Sterling plenty entertained. You'd be hard pressed to find a better duo to care for your pet!

I am privately insured by Pet Care Insurance. I live in a brownstone with a small fenced, secure patio. Your pup will be part of the family and join me and Coconut in all our activities! Your dog will have free roam of my apartment, I do not require crating. I do have an XL crate for dogs that feel most comfortable and safe sleeping in a crate. I send lots of pics and daily updates to keep you updated on your pup's stay!

*I am currently only accepting dogs over 2 years old* I do meet and greets on my patio so the dogs can play and feel eachother out while we chat. I will send you a Google form with basic questions like emergency info, care instructions and about your dog's personality. Dogs that do best here are confident, love to play, able to relax, medium to large size. Small dogs that are comfortable with larger dogs are welcome, well loved and respected by Coconut and all his friends ? I require dogs to be completely housebroken, up to date on vaccinations, flea and tick preventatives, and have basic obedience for safety. I cannot accept dogs that are destructive, aggressive towards humans or other dogs, resource guard food, or need 24/7 supervision. I cannot have excessive barking, I need to be kind to my neighbors. I am okay with some leash reactivity, I have worked with trainers to develop handling skills to safely and quickly redirect when I know a pup's triggers. However, I am not a trainer and don't have enough experience to safely handle a dog that is a bite risk. Let's set up a meet and greet to make sure your pup will be happy here!
A typical day
Your dog, Coconut and I will have so much fun together! Coconut will keep your pup entertained until nap time, then wake up for more playtime. We have lots of toys, puzzles, treats and chews he loves to share. I have a private fenced patio for fresh air and playtime. The pups love to help me garden, mostly digging holes and taste testing dog-safe veggies. We take a walk around the Reflecting Pool most afternoons, the pups always get lots of attention! Our favorite weekend activity is a walk through the Back Bay Fens. We like to walk through the Victory Gardens and check out all the flowers, squirrels and geese. I have a 30ft leash so your dog can run around and explore a little bit.

Availability
I work from home, dog activities are always built into the schedule! During the day I pop out for appointments and errands, max 2-3 hours. I am home most of the day, I can often schedule constant care for daycare or date nights with notice. I do not offer constant care for boarding. I'm available most days, I'm flexible on drop off and pickup times with notice. I do not always have last minute availability for new pups due to requiring a meet and greet, but once your pup has stayed with me, I can frequently make room for them with shorter notice.
