Practically a dog+cat whisperer
Pet care experience
Former pets of mine: Capuchin monkey, hairless cats, teddy bear hamsters, furry cats, Shitzu, golden retriever, baby husky. I treat animals with respect and allow them the freedom to have fun while at the same time being safe. I always clean their poop and respond when they need to go outside. I enjoy playing toys with them and fetch for some dogs. I understand that cats need time to warm up to you sometimes so I’ve never had a problem. I like to stay active so I can tire out the dogs so they can have good exercise and sleep better. I will allow small dogs on my bed and furniture but not big dogs unless they don’t shed. I can train dogs tricks with treats.

I could not be happier with Melissa’s dog sitting. My dog, Ollie, really seemed to bond well with her. Definitely deserves 5 stars.
Melissa did a wonderful job with our English Mastiff, Pixie. Pixie liked Melissa right away and thoroughly enjoyed the multiple outings they went on. Young mastiffs have a great deal of energy, and Melissa was able to handle that so well and was also not daunted by Pixie’s size. We will definitely be having Pixie spend more time at Melissa’s house!!
I have a small male shi-tzu and he absolutely adores Melissa. She took him on many walks and let him socialize with other dogs since she knew he’s not scared of them and enjoys playtime. She usually lets the dog pick and choose where to walk and stop to sniff out an area. However, because shi-tzus can be stubborn, she’s very firm when there is a spot they can’t access or if he needs to move along which he impressively obeys very well. She is the best at massaging dogs & giving them belly rubs, my dog he always melts and lays over when she comes near just because he knows it will get her attention and she will get on the floor to pet him. Very responsible in keeping track of meal times as well.
She’s rarely had any troubles with dogs from what I’ve seen. Dogs usually run to her and fall in love immediately because she loves to massage them. She brought over a giant oversized Golden Retriever to my small dorm room because she wanted him to explore everywhere around the college campus. She cleaned up all of his messes and even let him go for a swim in a nearby pond because he loved to fetch the ball in the water. Basically, she’s a really fun time with the dogs. She puts the dogs first and makes sure they’re enjoying themselves.
