Hello! My name is Melissa and I am a homeschooling mom of four kids (ages 16, 15, 13 and 11). I have three mixed breeds of my own named Penelope, Luna and Mason (we inherited him when my sister in law passed away in September 2020). We had to say goodbye to our 14.5 year old yorkie in October 2018. My husband works from home which means that my schedule is very flexible and also allows me to help you if you are in a jam too! I am very comfortable with handling dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds, and temperaments. I'll treat your dog(s) with the most respect and love possible, so you can be assured your dog(s) will get the best care. I am available for house sitting, walks, and drop in visits. I am able to administer oral and topical medications if needed. I also have experience with feeding specialty diets, such as raw food. I will also take care of any cats and/or other small animals that you may have too (we have a bearded dragon and I love reptiles)!

When I come to visit your dog(s) I will follow all of your directions. I take caring for other people’s furry family members very seriously, as I know it is a very important job. It’s an honor to be trusted with the opportunity to care for your dog(s). Some of these takes may include: bringing them out in the yard or going for a walk, cleaning up any messes that they may have left before I get there, giving treats or meals, playing indoors or in the yard (weather permitting). And of course giving lots of praise and pets!

Do they need medicines, special diets/meals, how often do they need to go to the bathroom, how are they if encountering another dog or person on a walk, are they allergic to anything, what commands do they know and respond to, are they house trained?
A typical day
I do not currently watch dogs in my own home. I’m hoping to add this to my list of services in the future. My male dog is not the best with new dogs and we want to keep everyone safe!

Availability
My schedule is flexible and self-sufficient with homeschooling so I am able to work our daily routine around your needs and/or schedule. My children are older now so I don’t need to worry about childcare. They might want to tag along, only if that is okay with you of course, because my children are animal lovers too!
