Pet care experience
I have rescued, fostered and loved so many animals for so many years. I have never been without an animal in my life. I found my dog with a bullet and shattered hip indicating she came from a bad past, which has led me to find the best training methods for her which has given me the opportunity to learn how to train dogs and nurture their fears. I go on 2-6 mile walks daily, and I want to bring furry friends with me. I have time after my full time job and weekends. I have a dog of my own, trust is key to build safety the pet. I trust myself and and my commands and my authority

I have known Melissa my entire life. Her and her family’s compassion for animals meets no bounds. They take the best care of their animals and will not hesitate to help an animal in need. Her and her family are constantly fostering and finding loving homes for any animal that they come across. Melissa specifically has rehabilitated abused dogs, one is lady, her current companion, who was shot, emaciated and pregnant. She nursed her back to health, paid for her procedures out of pocket, found homes for the puppies and is now teaching lady how to walk on a leash and interact with the world around her. I would trust Melissa with my babies in a heartbeat, knowing that they would be safe and taken care of!

I live in an apartment so my dog has no access to a yard. But for those with yards I like to know where the pet is, if I know they are outside in the fenced in area and I notice I haven’t seen them in a while I would like to check up on them to make sure they are still in the vicinity of the yard.

How trained are they on leash and what temperaments should I be cautious with so I can be prepared to handle any situation. I am self trained to walk dogs on different types of leashes, and with simple commands. An example of a behavior I would like to know ahead of time is if the dog is food aggressive, or if they have any allergies to foods as I would bring my own dog treats.
A typical day
If the dog likes to fetch, play tug of war, or just simply likes to lay down I would love to make sure they are getting the attention they need. I also love to go on long walks around Houston so I would bring them along to burn off any energy they have built up or to allow them to sniff around. I like to go on walks around memorial, or buffalo bayou. I live close by to the bayou so that’s my go to park.

Availability
I go on 1-2 mile walks in the morning before I head into work so if your pet is close by I can swing by and take them on a walk, after work I go on another 2-4 mile walk and your furry friend can tag along with me to burn off that energy.
