Hello! My name is Melissa. My boyfriend I and are the proud pet parents of two beautiful female Australian Shepherds, Maggie (9 years) and Mollie (1 year). We have recently decided to add Mollie to our little family this past year, and we wish we had done it earlier! The love my girls have established for each other is so heartwarming with the age difference of 8 years! We weren't sure how they would take to each other, but to our surprise it's been a match made in heaven. They are sisters from different litters for sure! Should you choose us, your fur baby will be staying with our girls who get along very well with others. The main concern I would have is if your dog is an alpha-female or male and has shown aggression towards others. I would appreciate full honesty and to what extent the aggression has been shown. I'm completely open for discussion and would gladly appreciate deciphering where the aggression could stem from. We can always attempt to work through it by meeting on completely neutral ground i.e. front yard, parks, etc. This is precisely why a meet and greet is imperative to assure the safety of our animals and for us as well. I do also request to have a copy of your baby's UPT (up to date) vaccine records, and my dogs' can be provided as well for peace of mind. My goal is safety FIRST, then fun and play for your baby to assure a comfortable stay for all! I've researched and learned obedience training methods and have taught them both obedience. Alongside obedience we have included some agility and fun tricks to keep them mentally and physically stimulated! If you'd like I would love to try to do the same with your pet. I was raised in the country with all kinds of animals, especially dogs! I've always believed that dogs (along with all animals) are God's gift to us. They've always been my best friend and companion; I've always vowed to show them the love and care they've given me. I've also had the pleasure working as a Veterinarian Assistant for 1.5 years where I obtained many skills pertaining to animal health and safety. I'm a very trustworthy, dependable, and empathetic person who will put your fur baby's safety, health, and happiness first when in my care. I know the all too familiar fear of leaving your baby behind, so please don't hesitate to email, text, or call me to express what is on your mind and how you feel! Remember, I've been in your shoes so I completely understand. Also, your pup may go home learning how to give smooches if they don't already know how to! :) Every dog is different just like any person. They have different personalities, likes, dislikes, and silly quirks. I would love (and it would be extremely helpful to me) to be explained of these to help your pets' stay as comfortable as possible in our home. We also ask that your fur baby be updated on all vaccines and flea medications so that our babies and other pets at our home stay safe; virus, tick, and flea free! Also It's important for the reason of playing at the dog park which we do lots of! My girls love to go and yours would definitely be tagging along...if that is acceptable of course. Walks are a must! Especially in the spring/summer seasons, my family is very active and we would love to include your pet in our daily activities. If there are any special instructions for feeding, grooming, special crating, or required medications to be administered orally or topically I am at your services, just inform me. Our families and friends deserve special care and our fur babies deserve the same! And It would be my pleasure to be the one to help achieve the relief of finding a genuinely caring and dependable sitter for you. My work schedule entails full-time during the week, but I am very flexible and will come to my house during my lunch breaks since I do already to let my dogs out. So no worries your pet will be let out during the day. We live on Sheppard Air Force Base and realize the difficulty of accessing the base. Therefore, I'm open and willing to pick up your pet(s) if that works better for you, fee free! And you're more than welcome to our home to see where exactly your pet will be staying.
