My name is Melissa and I am someone who absolutely loves animals with all my heart. I have owned a menagerie of pets throughout the years, incluing 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, an iguana, 2 parakeets, mice and rats. I also have background working as a Kennel Assistant at a local veterinary hospital. In addition, I have had extensive experience in watching both friend's and neighbor's dogs and cats. I am accustomed to hanging out with animals in their own homes and I very much believe that having a pet in their own comfort zone helps keep their anxiety and stress down. I also have a meet and greet policy in which I meet the pet(s) in their home with their family present. I do this for several reasons: one, so that before the actual scheduled sitting days, the pet(s) may meet me and see that their family approves of me. Two, I would like to give the owners a chance to show me the routine around the house. And finally, so that everyone involved (including the pet) can decide if it is the best fit or not. And although I do work part time at a local health club and my schedule is fairly adaptable, what I truly love doing is working with and caring for animals. My prices are determined by the number of animals, amount of tasks, or if there's a long commute, however I am very flexible and willing to work with owners and I can make availble any references as needed. I am honest, trustworthy and will treat your pet as if it were my own.
