Melissa was AMAZING! We needed a pet and house sitter last minute and Melissa quickly responded, scheduled an intro visit, and could accommodate our request without issue. Our dogs require daily medication (one orally and the other by injection), and Melissa was reliable and fully capable of doing both. Our house was also left in excellent condition, and Melissa was very trustworthy. Melissa also took them on daily walks, and both dogs loved that. Melissa was also great with communication, and we never felt in the dark. We needed a drop in sitter for a last minute over night trip the day after the x-mas holiday. Melissa came with so many positive reviews we felt comfortable hiring her last minute. Many things went wrong and I waited a long time to write this review hoping to get a response or some answers. 2 months later and the answers haven't come. The quick overview is: - No photos were sent - Dog left inside instead of outside per instructions resulting in very uncomfortable dog needing to go to the bathroom very badly by the time we returned home that evening. - Our key was never returned - No response when inquiring what happened - More details of what happened - First there was a mistake in starting our visit early. I messaged and confirmed we had agreed for an evening drop in (not afternoon), and she said it was just a mistake in hitting start on the app and that she would be there in the evening to feed our dog dinner. We had told her a neighbor was going to let the dog out before bed, but she took our key so he couldn't get in to do so. Melissa did respond and said she would go over again to let our dog out. She said her phone was dead so would send photo proof in the morning. We never received photos for any of the 3 drop ins. We left instructions for her to leave our dog in the backyard after feeding her breakfast in the morning. When we returned in the evening, our dog was inside, and clearly very uncomfortable needing to go to the bathroom very badly. Because there were no photo's we have no idea if our dog was inside from the previous night or if Melissa did come in the morning and just left her inside. We messaged Melissa multiple times to see what happened and to let her know we never received our key to our home back. No response. We contacted Rover who said they would reach out to her and let us know, and again no response.
