From Southern California to Canada, my family always had 1 or 2 family dogs. My last dog, Chiquito, had been with me and my family for 15 years an basically grew up with me through my teens and early 20's. Today, our family dogs include 2 chihuahuas and a toy jack russell terrier. I am known as Auntie Mel to many of my friends' canine loves. Having lived in SF for almost 5 years, I've been dog-walking and volunteering at SPCA SF for 5 years too! We now reside in Oakland where both my husband and I are caring, compassionate, and empathetic dog-lovers. I am the stern one, my husband is the fun one ;)
