Reviews
Melisa is caring and full of compassion for pets and people alike. She has the knowledge and experience to care for your four-legged friends, even if they have special needs.
I worked with Melissa as a veterinary technician. She is a great tech, very knowledgeable, and she cares deeply about her patients. She also gave me some very useful advice for dealing with a badly injured bearded dragon I adopted. He's now healthy and doing well! You won't find a more knowledgeable pet sitter who will care for your babies as if they were her own.
Melisa has taken care of our dogs multiple times! She is so kind to them, attentive, compassionate, and they love her!!! If I ever need a dog sitter, Melisa is the first person I would call!
Melisa is kind-hearted and wonderful. Her passion for animals and life in general inspires me to be a better person. You can be assured that she will love your animals just as much as her own.

Information Melisa S. would like to know about your pet
I welcome any information about your babies that you think would be helpful in making the time we spend together fantastic for them. I am comfortable with any pet you might have. I speak fluent parrot, snake and bearded dragon. I love horses, pigs and cows. I can pull the eggs from the chicken coop if needed. I know my way around salt water fish tanks. I am in the know of sugar gliders and chinchillas nutritional requirements. I LOVE rats and ferrets too!
A typical day
When I am doing a drop in, I like to stay about an hour. The price is the same as listed, at $20 for that visit. The price does not change if you have more than one pet. If you want a morning visit and an evening visit, the total price for that day would be $35. This would have me in your home with your babies for about two hours. When I am hired to do a play date, (a walk) I like to spend about an hour with them, doing what you know they enjoy the most. We can play in the backyard, we can walk around the neighborhood, we can go to a park or a hiking trail or we can go to a dog park. It's all up to you. The $20 fee covers whichever activity you want us to enjoy, for about an hour. My dog, Leo, is very friendly and loves other animals of all kinds. He goes to work with me at the hospital for every shift, loves riding in the van and absolutely loves meeting other dogs and cats. Leo loves kittens so much, I rescued a stray kitten from work, as his one year birthday present! It is totally up to you if you would like Leo to come along to play with your babies. When you book me to stay overnight in your home, I will be there most of the day and all night. If I have other things to do during the day I will be in and out just as if I live there. It is completely up to you as to whether or not Leo comes to stay with me. When you book me for an overnight, that includes having a long walk, playing in the backyard and/or going to a park or trail or dog park. There is no additional "walk" charge. There is no additional charge, for additional pets. All fees apply, whether I'm taking care of a dog, horse, snake, bearded dragon, parrots, rats, or guinea pigs. The drop in price and the overnight price would be the same. If you live on a farm and have multiple farm animals, as long as I can care for everyone appropriately, in an hour, there is no additional cost. Each additional hour would add $12 to the cost. It would probably be the most cost effective for you, to hire me for an overnight.
