Pet care experience
My favorite part of dog sitting is getting to know my client's furry family member's unique personalities. I love their quirks and all their special needs. I specialize in elder dogs and clients with a multitude of animals (of all kinds!). I am experienced in giving eye, oral, and injectable medicines. Routine is of upmost importance and I will take care of and love your pet as though they were my own. I have received training in Healing Touch for Animals which taught me how to understand an animal's energetic needs. I can work with your pets in establishing and maintaining a calm, peaceful environment. I have worked with all types of animals from lizards to horses. I even have some experience in rehabilitation with wild animals providing me even more comfort and knowledge on how to work with all kinds of personalities and challenges. Please note that when my boys are out of school they may be joining me during the day. They are 9 and 12 and incredibly respectful of the work I do and the animals I sit for. I never had a moment worry. Melinda sent pictures throughout the stay of Harold my special needs 15 year old pug. He was happy and cannot wait to use her again. Thank you Melinda from two happy clients.
She arrived on time with a smile. My 15 Year old pug fell in love immediately. She is terrific so kind and gentle with the old man. Love her would use her again
Melinda was the best. I booked her less than a day in advance, we did a video call to brief her on everything and she provided sensational care for my elderly, deaf and still very present Chihuahua. DO NOT RUSH TO BOOK HER because I have another trip coming up soon.
I would give 100 stars if I could....wow!!! We have had a few pet-sitters in the past so I have some experience with them and I can confidently say that Melinda outshines them all. By far! I could tell when I met Melinda that she had a gentle way about her which was key as we have a rather sensitive/difficult rescue dog and he requires a lot of wisdom and gentleness. Melinda has that in spades! The day we left town she arrived exactly when she had promised. She let me know the moment she arrived and filled me in on how things were going. It was evident that she earnestly wanted to be sure she did over and above what we needed or expected. She sent photos on a regular basis and updates on how our pup was doing. It was clear she was really making an effort to connect with him (not easy!) and she was successful! So as far as our dog is concerned, she is solid gold. She was also a wonderful houseguest. My husband exclaimed that it seemed as though no one had even been here! Melinda is the IDEAL sitter - she is kind, gentle, thoughtful, considerate, thorough, conscientious....wonderful! BOOK HER!!
