Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Melinda! I am very experienced with pets, especially dogs and cats. I have over two years of experience as a veterinary technician, as well as three years of professional boarding/daycare experience. I have been a pet sitter for about four years now, specializing with pets with disabilities or health concerns. I am Pet CPR and First Aid trained through PetTech, as well as licensed through the Professional Animal Care Certification Council. I especially love the littles, as I have six small dogs of my own at home. But there is also a special place in my heart for bigger dogs, as I grew up in a home with border collies and aussie shepherds. I have worked with dogs from the smallest tiny chihuahua to the largest harlequin great dane. I also have two cats of my own and my husband and I foster pregnant mom cats, or cats who have recently given birth. It's a special gift to be able to watch tiny babies grow into spunky, inquisitive little adult cats!

Melinda went above and beyond! During our vacation, our little baby girl got sick and Melinda stepped up and took our baby to the vet. She not only went above and beyond what I would have expected, but left us with a peace of mind, knowing that our little girl was so well taken care of. Melinda also went back the following day to pick up her meds and continued to watch our babies and even administered the medication until we were able to get back. My wife and I cannot thank Melinda enough for taking such great care of our kids and definitely appreciate all her knowledge and patience she has with animals. She has a passion for animals so it’s a blessing to have her watch over our kids.
Our pups enjoyed having Melinda watch over them for a few days. She was very attentive and took good care of our babies while we stepped out.
I worked with Melinda at an elite pet resort in Gilbert for several months. She not only proved herself to be amazingly capable with all sizes and ages of pups, but was able to handle large groups all at once. She was always calm, focused, and loving with the dogs! I have a lot of training in dog behavior and have worked with a variety of shy or anxious dogs.
A typical day
I love to go for walks with all kinds of dogs. I really love enjoying the walk, letting the pups get lots of time to sniff and smell. Why rush them along when it's their walk, too? :-)
