I'm an experienced pet sitter and former ER veterinary technician assistant. I have 6 years experience working in the veterinary field and the last 3 years I worked at a specialty & emergency veterinary clinic in Berkely, CA. I have completed a CE course in Emergency Triage and am Fear Free Certified. I have three fur babies of my own (1 dog & 2 cats) and I would love to take care of yours while you're gone. My mission is to take care of your pets as if there were my own. I want to make your trip less stressful for your pet while you are gone. I just moved back to Utah from California and I have decided to work full-time as a pet-sitter so I am available to spend pretty much all day with your pet if needed. Holidays and weekends included! I can take your furry ones on walks during the day or just stop by to play, have potty breaks and I can administer medication if needed.

In our house, the dogs and cats are our children. Finding someone we trust to care for them while we were out of town has been a challenge. Not only do we have dogs of various ages (a rambunctious 5 year old bull terrier, a needy 9 year old shepherd and our golden girls 12 year old hound and 13 year old chihuahua) but we have a cat with a history of urinary track disease as well as hypatic lipidosis which means he needs daily medication (that he doesn't like to take) and very subtle symptoms that if unnoticed could be potentially life threatening. Imagine our stress when our best friends decided to get married out of state! We were in panick mode... until we found Mellinda! Not only is she sweet as can be, but the dogs adored her! She was very knowledgeable about our cats health issues and the different life stages or dogs are in! We came home to happy healthy pets, the house was in perfect condition and we have never been happier with a pet sitter! I'm almost hesitant to write this review on the off chance she will be booked the next time we need her! Oh, did I mention she also works at a veterinary emergency clinic?! Talk about the perfect person to watch your furry family members! Thanks Melinda! You are amazing!

A typical day
I will visit your home 1-3 times a day depending on your preference. My visits will include feeding, potty breaks, playtime and walks for additional fees. Does your pet have special needs? I have experience giving medication to make sure your pet stays healthy and safe. There is an additional charge for medication administration of $3.00 per administration. I can also water plants & check mail if needed. *My dog loves play dates! If you'd like me to bring my dog over to play while I'm sitting for your pet let me know! -Midday Dog Walks Only ($20) – Standard 30-minute walk between 10am-4pm. An Extra Pet Fee of $5.00 is applied for each additional dog. $40 for 60-minute walk. -Pet Sitting ($18 per visit) – Includes 1 Standard 30-minute visit between 9am and to 4pm. An Extra Pet Fee of $5.00 is applied for each additional pet. -Overnight Visits ($54) – I will stay in your home overnight. Includes another walk/potty break before bedtime and a potty break and feed in the morning before I leave for the day. -Medication Administration ($3) - If your pet needs medication there will be an administration fee of $3 per administration.
