Pets are like family that she had Tigger for 12 years and Roxie 13 whose passing was extremely difficult to bear. She's a softie for stray animals and tries to find them good homes such as a lost dog several years ago, but not just any home, where she knew it would be loved and cared for. Her current kitty Miss Cookie knows me by voice and has been trained to see "Hello" and "Mama" being very vocal. We both chat about our animals as one of the family and that their care comes first and foremost such as leaving her air conditioner on during heat waves while she worked. I believe Melanie to be caring and trustworthy to show up and lovingly tend dogs, cats or birds and any other creatures whose life is dependent on humans for their survival. They would certainly be in someone's attentive care! Her son and his wife are pet lovers of horses and dogs as well. He is a manager at Pet Smart and his wife is a dog groomer. Melanie's daughter is a full time pet sitter/walker with her own cats who are like babies in a family. We talk pets - not politics!
