I know first hand how hard it can be to find someone you completely trust to take care of your furry family member. It's often stressful for the pet parent as well as the animal while apart. You want to know your family member is being well taken care of and loved. This is where I come in! There have been times when I've passed on a vacation because of the worry I felt about leaving my dog. I knew there must be plenty of people who feel the way I do! I found Rover, and with years of animal experience, I knew I could help! *My family has fostered over 35 homeless dogs and have cared for each one with love and respect. I have volunteered for many years at a no kill animal shelter, working with homeless dogs. I am well trained in caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I also have experience caring for cats, birds, guinea pigs/rats/hamsters, chickens, lizards and snakes. **IN MY HOME** Taking care of animals is my only job! Your dog will NOT be stuck in a kennel. My two teenaged children are very experienced in handling dogs of all sizes. They practice safety protocols they have learned from years of fostering dogs. Your dog will be doted on, spoiled and loved. Someone is almost always home, so your pup will have plenty of company and love. Animals truly are my life! I'm experienced in special needs diets, administering medications and caring for injured or disabled dogs. I take in (and visit) dogs of all ages and training levels. I have helped potty train puppies, as well as break bad habits of young dogs and reinforce good house and leash manners. I do not shy away from timid dogs, old dogs with health issues or rambunctious puppies. I only practice "positive training" techniques and can often help you with common doggy issues. **IN YOUR HOME** I can also travel to your home for daily walks, feeding and one on one time with your animal. *I have been a dog walker and pet sitter for many years. I am well trained in handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments and walking styles. All of my clients trust me to enter their homes, care for their pets and pick up their mail/water plants, etc. I believe trust is earned and I will treat your home and animals with the utmost respect and care. I have clients for years, not days, as my "clients" become part of my family. I have seen their animals and children grow up. This is the BEST part of my "job". Building a community, one animal at a time. *Meet my pets Luca is a 3 year old Lab mix. Please see her bio. *About my yard I have a completely fenced in backyard with three good sized grassy areas. It's a great yard to play ball and let the dogs run around. We also have a large, covered back patio that dogs love to lounge on. However, we do NOT leave the dogs outside. Unless they are going potty or we are playing with them in the yard, they are inside with the family. *My experience administering medicine Many of the dogs I host and foster need eye and ear drops administered, as well as pills, shots and special diets.
