This veteran protects fur babies!

Pet care experience

I’m a dog trainer, & I’m a veteran with a service dog! Though people call me the dog whisperer I just communicate with canines really well. I always pay attention to detail especially for those little escape artists. I can teach your dog new tricks. I’ve gone to dog training classes and also worked for a dog training companies but I currently have my own. I was the office manager that answered phone calls from new clients and answered any questions in two different languages. I was also the Assistant trainer that specialized in training dogs that had behavioral issues. I handled dogs with aggression problems, dogs that were nervous or lacked confidence, puppies that needed help with their Obedience and older dogs that needed obedience training. I also trained dogs to become Service Dogs. Throughout my life I’ve owned multiple dogs of my own. I love taking care of dogs! I also have immeasurable experience with dogs who have social and/or separation anxiety, as my two rescues both had issues with anxiety when they first came home with me. I am mostly available by 7:30a.m but sometimes I can be available all day! I can also speak Spanish fluently and a little Korean. I’m going to learn how to properly groom dogs and cats but until then I currently can offer clients bath services & nail trims. I’d also appreciate honest frequent feedback or recommendations to further improve my services. You can reach me mostly through text. I always have my cellphone on me. I’m looking forward to giving the best service ever experienced for a reasonable flexible rate. The dogs in my care are more than my furry clients, they are Ohana, family! As a pet parent myself, I know how hard it is to go away and leave your cute cuddly family member(s) behind. I have the knowledge to make sure your pets feel at ease and happy while you're out of town! That's why I promise to treat your pet(s) just like they were my own fur babies. Money is nice but happy tails and wet kisses are better! Don’t be shy to ask for a cost adjustment if my prices are too high and if it’s your first time using Rover!!! I have a service dog with me at all times as well. I train dogs and cut dog nails when we are not over booked with house sittings/boardings. So if you require your pet to not be left alone for more than 4hrs please let me know beforehand. I can easily crate your dog if needed. *****Mandatory***** *meet&greets are due before bookings & are also due to the safety of my service dog and myself. **All meet and greets are between the $50-$150 depending on distance.

Melanie was awesome! My dog, Buddy, was not nervous at all when meeting her for the first time. Buddy made a new furry friend while staying there. I was very happy she was available as it was short notice and right before the holiday. Thank you again (:

Absolutely a wonderful experience using Melanie! She sat for me while I was on vacation out of the country. My two pit mixes were calm and relaxed when I got back. Obviously she treated them as her own and she sent lots of pictures. One of mine needs daily fluid administration which Melanie handled beautifully. Highly recommend.

Melanie was excellent! She took time to to work with our very anxious pup. This was our first time using a drop-in service to let him out and feed him. We will definitely be using Melanie again!

A typical day

Walks will happen: •At the closest dog park, we’ll play fetch, learn new skills (sit, stay, lay down...etc.) •Around my or your neighborhood. •I know a few restaurants that allow dogs, I’ve taken my two pups there as well and wouldn’t mind taking yours too! •Your pets will be photographed as much as possible the whole stay, and for every walk. A map will be sent to show where we went for every walk. *Disclaimer: If I can’t spend all day with your dog, like if I have to leave to the store, they will be safe in their crates or in the doggie area in my home. There's wee-wee pads on the floor since accidents could happen while I’m gone. I change them frequently. DOGGY DAY CARE - 8 to 10 hours (maximum) DOG BOARDING – 24 hours+ (Clock starts during drop off with 4 hours stretch for pick – up)* ***Meet & Greet is a mandatory!!!
