Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages and activity levels, personally (for myself and friends throughout the years) and as a professional (for a pet sitting company). I have also taken care of a variety of other animals including hamsters and birds. I’m able to administer oral medications.

Melanie is wonderful with my two dogs. Every time she comes over they both compete for her attention. The adore her, and it’s because they can tell she adores them. I would have no trouble at all leaving my dogs in her care. I know they would be in excellent hands.
I highly recommend Melanie as a dog caregiver. She has taken care of Sasha for a number of years. Now as he has gotten older she is very cognizant of his needs and abilities.
Melanie is absolutely wonderful! She's great at communicating and sends the best pics and text updates. My senior fur ball is completely comfortable with Melanie and he usually shys away from people. She's vey attentive, trustworthy and I'm so glad my wife and I can count on her.
Melanie is very patient with our puppies. We had a new rescue dog, Luna, who was very shy. She had been abused in the past and was very skiddish. Melanie sat on the floor and waited patiently for Luna to come to her. She approached her slowly. We appreciated her patient with Luna. Now Melanie gets Luna kisses, still sneaky around, but Luna is gaining confidence work patience.

I will always do a ‘meet & greet’ before hand so that you, your fur babies and myself are all comfortable with one another first. I’d like to know their feeding rituals, favorite toys, if they get along with other animals, any health issues they might have and medications they’d need to take, what their nighttime routines are, any aggressions to be aware of, etc...
A typical day
If I’m sitting for your pooch, depending on your comfort level, we can go on hikes, walks, go swimming (I watched a chocolate lab who loved to take a dip in the pool every night)! Endless games of fetch. You name it!

I run my own housecleaning business so my schedule for pet sitting is fairly flexible and I am available most evenings and weekends. I’m also available for 24 hr house/pet sitting.
