Hi, pet parents! My name is Melanie, and I am a current law student at the University of Miami. I grew up with a Labradoodle named Phantom (who recently passed away at age twelve due to natural causes) and my 70 pound lapdog Lexi lives with my parents. I miss both of them so much and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to interact with another adorable dog (or ten) in Miami. I love dogs of all ages and sizes, and believe that furry creatures are happiest when they receive ample daily physical activity, human affection, and playtime. I can easily guarantee that all pets under my supervision will have the opportunity to engage in lots of physical activity—and playtime—and will receive plenty of cuddle time, too! This summer, I am working as a research assistant for one of my professors, and my professor allows me to work on my own schedule from home. Because of this flexibility, I am available to provide petsitting services during the day on both weekdays and weekends. I am petsitting as a way to help fund various outdoor excursions during my upcoming trip to South America and to help cover living expenses while in law school. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors from the South Carolina Honors College, with degrees in International Business, Economics, and Spanish (minor: Latin American Studies). My non-academic pursuits include: playing with puppies, running, traveling, and honing my skill set as an ameteur photographer. I represented the Gamecocks in intercollegiate athletic competitions during all four years of my undergraduate career and am now training for a marathon in my free time. I am a licensed babysitter certified by the Red Cross and have been babysitting and petsitting off and on for the last decade. Not only does my competitive running background makes me the ideal candidate to take your furry creature on a run (or walk) to burn off extra energy during the day, but also, my unwavering love for all dogs means that your dog will receive plenty of human attention during our time together! Additionally, as a photography aficionado, I am more than happy to schedule a doggie photoshoot (prices negotiable, and human subjects are not necessary; check out sample photos of my dogs on my profile or on our instagram accounts!
