Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover all my life. While I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment, I do enjoy keeping dogs while their families are out of town or busy. The dogs I have been watching are as comfortable at my house as their own. Their owners joke that while their dog is happy to see them, they know their dog would be just as happy to stay at my house. You fur baby will be loved and spoiled the same as at your home. Starting in high school, I worked as a vet tech for 5 years and was a volunteer EMT for several years. I still have knowledge and skills to handle emergencies and provide medication. I do work M-F, so I am away from the house from 7:45am - 5:00pm.

This was the second time that Melanie has watched our girls. They stayed for a couple of days back in January and now for over 2 weeks in March. Both times went super smooth and Melanie kept us updated with photos and a video of their stay. The girls came back to us their usual wiggly happy selves! We were traveling internationally and Melanie was easy to work with regarding methods of communication while we traveled. We definitely recommend her for your pups stay!
Melanie was absolutely amazing! We’ve never left our dog with someone we didn’t know before because she can be a lot to handle, but she made my husband and I feel so comfortable. She was attentive and texted me immediately when Holly developed a random limp. Melanie is the sweetest soul and I would definitely leave Holly in her care again.
Melanie was amazing and Bella loved staying there, so much so that she wanted to go back to Melanie’s arms. I love that she enjoyed being there so much.
Melanie is an awesome pet sitter! She communicated well before and during the trip, and she kept us updated throughout on how Riley was doing. It was very comforting to know that Riley was in such good hands while we were away. I very much recommend her and will definitely book again (if she will have us!)!!

I live in a small, quiet neighborhood that is good for walks but am also close to Crooked Creek Park. I often hike in Harbison State Forrest and along the Riverwalk in West Columbia and Cayce. Your pup can behave just as they do at home, curl up on the couch and in bed too.
