All you need is love--and a dog of course! I'm Melanie, your next go to pet sitter. I love that dogs love unconditionally. They bring out the best of us and can make us laugh until we cry! I'm here to care for your pet when you are taking a much needed vacation or are on a quick errand. I've had animals my entire life! I started out with dogs, turtles and fish, but my family also took interest in exotic animals such as snakes, birds and frogs. I even have some experience with alpacas! My love and passion for animals is what sparked me to enter the wonderful world of pet sitting. I understand how hard it is to find someone you trust to care for your "kids". I'm just like you! I love animals and I can't imagine a world without them. They bring so much joy and happiness to my life. Seeing their little faces everyday just puts a smile on my face. Your pet will be treated like my family when they're in my care. I have a beautiful Basenji Mix named Theia. She is almost six and is a wonderful little girl. She came from a rough upbringing — she was bounced around from shelter to shelter--but our paths finally crossed at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Almost immediately after looking into her big caramel-colored eyes, I knew she was supposed to be in my life. Though I was "adopting a dog with a history", I was determined to build a loving relationship and create a whole new story for her. Adopting Theia has been one of the most challenging, but most rewarding lessons of my life. I've learned how to properly listen and watch a dog's body language, gained patience, and invaluable training techniques. Most importantly, I understand how important it is to build your dog's confidence. I'm also a college student studying the fashion business world! “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” I'm unique, genuine and am very organized.
