Thank you for visiting my profile! Melanie is my name and taking care of fur babies is m'game (I regret nothing!😎). **PLEASE NOTE*** As of 4/4/24 I am almost completely booked for June and July. Let's talk fall and holiday vacation. At this time, I am not taking any weekly walking clients as my daytime schedule maybe shifting in the new year.

Melanie went above and beyond while housesitting and caring for our two kitties. She followed all of our instructions, sent us tons of photos and videos, and we were truly able to enjoy our trip knowing she was taking care of everything. We would hire her again in a heartbeat!!!
Professional. Confident. Reassuring. Reliable. My pups have some quirks and are BIG which can be intimidating. She completed a VERY last minute meet and greet which helps calm our nerves. She provided report cards and pictures. We will definitely use her again!

I care for your pets in your home. I will not be there 24/7 because I do administrative and production work for two community theatre companies. Although most of the work can be done remotely, I do have meetings, workshops, rehearsals and other things I must attend.

I would like to meet you and your dog and/or cat before sitting. I want to make sure I am the correct fit for you both. I have minor breed restrictions: I don't feel comfortable yet with Cane Corso and Alaskan Malamutes.
A typical day
When I with your babies, we will walk and take in all the lovely smells of the neighborhood. If allowed, I've taken dogs to the dog park and gotten pup cups. We will play with their toys, play chase depending on relationship with dog. Regardless I always give loads of kisses and belly/butt rubs (my rubs have a 5 star rating on Yelp?).

I am here to love fur babies! However, what sets me apart from the other Rover caregivers? After thirteen years of personal pet care experience, I have learned to become tuned into the needs of each animal. I watch their body language, listen for the differentiation in their barks or meows and appreciate their boundaries. Just like with people, I want your pet to feel safe with me. Whether it is a quick walk, having some cuddle time or overnight stay, it all begins with building a strong relationship with you and your pet(s). I usually schedule a Meet & Greet to discuss you and your fur babies needs beforehand. I am ready to help you and your fur babies in anyway I can!
