Melanie, stayed with my two dogs at my house for 7 nights. My dogs are my babies and I'm very protective over them and have only had family watch them in the past. This is the first time to use someone I didn't know and was admittedly a bit nervous. Melanie came to my house to meet them about a month prior to my trip. That went well so we booked the time. While I was gone, Melanie sent daily updates and pictures, which always made my day and gave me peace of mind. She let me know they were all okay after a severe storm, she gave me an update about their walks and whether they were eating - one of them gets depressed when I leave and won't eat, but after the first day, he cleaned his bowl which meant he was happy! She even let me know one of them vomited but that happens every once in awhile. Not only did she take exceptionally great care of my dogs but the house was so CLEAN when I returned. Even the dog bowls were washed. The oak pollen is falling off the trees right now, and Melanie regularly cleaned the skimmer in the pool so the filter wouldn't burn out. I didn't even ask her to do this! Not to mention, the dogs usually track those pollen stems throughout the house and there was not even one inside! I was in total amazement. When I got back last night, the dogs were happy and healthy and later that night, the one who gets depressed went to the room Melanie slept in and was looking for her. He misses her! If that isn't a testament to her character and her love for animals, I don't know what is! I highly recommend Melanie as a responsible, caring pet and house sitter. She goes way beyond what you would ever expect. It takes a lot for me to be impressed and I was more than impressed, I was amazed!

Melanie took great care of my two rather high energy dogs. They were happy and healthy when we came home and the cat was sleeping on the couch as usual. Melanie provided information and updates throughout the week so that we knew how things were going. She left the house in great shape, too. We will definitely book her the next time we need a house/pet sitter.
