We are Melanie & Eric O. We are both involved with sitting your dog, but depending on circumstances, it may be only one of us taking care of him/her/them. Dogs are extremely important and special members of the family. We recognize that when you cannot take care of your own dog, you desire somebody to care for and love him or her, just as you would. We enjoy dogs very much, and always have. We love dogs, and are excited to care for them. They will never understand the joy and happiness that they give to us humans, so all we can do is take care of them as best we can, and we do think they realize we really love them. We are energetic young adults; we will be attentive to and playful with your dog, and can take your dog for walks, if that is something you would like. Melanie also has a specialty of being able to take dogs running, if they are used to it already. She goes running up to six times a week. We've had experience taking care of dogs for many years. Melanie's family had dogs when she was a little girl, and as she grew up, she got to take care of several neighbor dogs multiple times, and has cared for other animals, too. She even cared for a horse several times. She also had other pets of her own for severals years. Eric grew up on a farm, and had many dogs over the years. He also cared for many other pets and farm animals such as cats and cattle. One or both of us are usually able to be with your dog most of the time. Your dog will rarely be left alone more than one or two hours. We are very excited to take care of your dog when you cannot. Thank you for giving us the opportunity! About this sitter: Our experience includes (but is not limited to) taking care of dogs in their own homes, which we've done multiple times, so we have experience with doing that, and their humans were very happy with our service. Regarding Traveling/House Sitting jobs: We charge one round-trip worth of mileage at the current State of Minnesota mileage rate. Other animals: We can sit most other domesticated pets as well. Animals I'm most comfortable caring for are dogs, cats, and rodents, but I am more than willing to consider other legal pets, especially if great care instructions are provided. Why we love dog sitting We've been lifelong dog-lovers. We were born into homes with wonderful dogs, and have loved and cared-for dogs ever since. We will try to keep your dog's life as consistent as possible with whatever he/she is used to. For example, please tell us if your dog(s) is/are not allowed on the furniture and/or bed, and let us know other things you would like to have consistently maintained for your dog.
