I am a dog person by nature, but have also fallen in love with cats in the last few years — so much so that I now have three loving cats in addition to my dogs. At the start of 2022, I delved in to the dog training world. It is a side hobby of mine while I finish my PhD. After attending many workshops & seminars while also shadowing & being mentored by different types of dog trainers, I embrace and favor force-free errorless training. I am bridging over from balanced to force free and although I am getting much better, I am still learning. Force free trainers gain a dog’s trust through mutual respect and understanding and by fostering a positive relationship between human and dog. My dog training knowledge will be a bonus asset to my clients as I am only walking dogs at the moment until I feel I have achieved enough training experience and knowledge under my belt. I grew up with dogs and have had my own dogs as an adult for over 20 years. Owning three cats, I am also familiar with caring for cats. I can dog/cat/house sit for you while you are on vacation or otherwise busy knowing that your pets/house is being well taken care of. My partner and I usually hike on weekends and if interested, we can take your dog with us on these hikes as part of their physical and mental exercise.
