Pet care experience
I am a 45yr old female that has spent my life caring for animals. I am certified in animal first aid/CPR, animal training and animal psychology. I have owned cats all of my life and have spent approx. 10yrs owning or caring for dogs. I spent 8 years living with and caring for a yellow lab and I currently have a shorkie that I have owned for the past four years. I also currently had one older cat which has diabetes and requires 2 needles daily which I am quite comfortable and used to administering. I have 2 kittens as well. My home has 5 levels and is in a quiet neighbourhood that is very close to a dog park. I currently work from home so I am available to give my full attention to the animals.

Mel and her whole family have always been amazing to our boy Jeff. Jeff is a large dog that suffers from rare seizures, but we have finally felt like we can relax and enjoy vacations knowing that he is so well cared for. We're so thankful for them!
Mel is an awesome pet sitter and human being! She is attentive, communicative, and my two dogs absolutely love her! They get so excited when she comes to stay with them!
We had booked with Mel but in the end she was away and her twin sister Amy came instead. Amy did a great job with our two cats. They got lots of cuddles....even Jack our kitty that takes some time to trust people. In the end Amy was able to win him over and they became great friends. Amy sent us lots of pictures and videos and also took great care of our house. We would definitely book Amy and/or Mel again.
Mel was an amazing sitter. Our dog has a mild form of seizures and she was amazing with making sure he followed his feeding schedule and had no episodes! She sent many updates while we were out of the country and I know he had so much fun with her family and all the pups that came for daycare. I cannot recommend Mel enough!

A typical day
I walk the dogs in my neighbourhood usually 1.3km/day. I love to take dogs to the park and watch them running around having fun. I also enjoy the odd trip to pet smart just as a treat for the dogs. Dogs at my house, unless otherwise specified, sleep on my bed with me, and sit on the furniture with me as well.

I am unable to work because of a car accident I was in so I am able to spend all my time with the dogs during the day.
