Hello! I'm Mel, and I just recently moved to the area! I have an Associates Degree in Visual Arts, and while making art all day long seems like the dream, I do need to supplement my income somehow. So I thought, why not do something I LOVE! I have a ten year old Shih Tzu named Rory. Moving her cross country to a new place didn't seem like the best option for her, so she stayed back in New York with my mom. Besides Rory being part of my family, I have a good deal of experience dog sitting for friends and friends-of-friends. I have cared for an array of dog breeds and sizes, including a Maltese, Golden Retriever, PitBull Mix, Beagle, and a English Bull Dog, as well as cat sitting for two Siamese cats. While caring for these dogs, I was responsible for their feeding, walking, grooming, bathing, and playing! Also, one of the dogs I sat for needed to take an oral pill twice a day. For most of my dog sitting experiences, it was for multiple days in a row of which I stayed at the owners home. I am available almost everyday of the week depending on the time, so I have a very open schedule. I am a natural with animals, especially dogs.
