Pet care experience
I grew up with my two dogs and I love to work with animals. I have worked with reptiles and amphibians at my college, worked at a zoo this past summer, and have fostered kittens from Humane Societies. I had a regular dog I cared for, but he has passed away from old age.

Mel was fantastic! She put up with some golden retriever energy in the snow and gave my dog the best afternoon! Couldn’t recommend enough!
Mel was amazing, she warmed up to our girls in no time! Great communication, (even last minute!) she also is the sweetest ever, & we look forward to having her watch our girls again!
Mel is amazing. Excellent communicator, great house sitter- responsible and wonderful with animals. We’ve had good and bad, and she is the absolute best!
Mel was beyond great. With all the snow and cold she still exercised with the dogs every day. She house sat for us as well and we couldn’t have been happier. She was responsible, great with our dogs, and very easy to talk to and communicate with. We would give her 10 stars if we could. It is always scary to let a stranger in your home. She is no longer and never was a stranger. Highly recommended.

When animals are in my care I like to spoil them: walks, rides, play/socialize, get them puppuccinos, and photograph their fun times. I will never do something an owner is not comfortable with. I will respect house rules, and I understand that spoiling well trained dogs can lead to bad habits. Feel free to give me restrictions on certain behaviors-- I will not be offended! I like to make sure the animals I take care of are comfortable with my presence and enjoy my company. I am familiar with putting dogs in their respectable crates and feeding medications. If there is something I am unfamiliar with, I am willing to learn your ways so I can provide excellent care. I do not do care for animals at my home because I have a small, 12 lb dog, who is nervous and territorial around other dogs. To prevent any injuries or uneasiness I prefer to take care of animals in the owner's home.

Let me know if the dog(s) have any special requirements and house rules (food, schedule, dogs allowed on couch or not, where I am allowed to take them, restrictions of locations to take them, etc). I think it's important to know their personality ahead of time as well; whether or not they are okay with other people, pets, car rides, etc. This helps me plan my day with them, reduce stress, and provide a fun time for us! :)
A typical day
I love to take them on walks and go to parks to explore nature! I like to make sure they are happy with my company and encourage playtime. On long days I like to reward them by going to Starbucks to get a puppuccino, they love it :)

I just recently graduated from college and in between employment. Employment for me will start in April, so I have plenty of time on my hands and very flexible with my time!
