Pet care experience
I'm a reliable pet sitter with a flexible schedule. I rescued 2 pitbull mixes named Luna and Sawyer. Both my dogs have anxiety and I have develop skills to help them cope. Luna and Sawyer get along great with other dogs but I do have additional space if the dogs should need some alone time. I have a large fenced yard for playing and an expansive neighborhood with sidewalks. My home is very dog friendly with water bowls, toys, and beds on every floor. I have experience sitting many types of dogs over the years including puppies, seniors, and dogs with special medical needs. During the school year, my husband comes home multiple times a day so the dogs get bathrooms breaks every 3 hours. I often bake all natural ‘pupcakes’ as a special treat for your furry friend. I always have carrots and apples on hand for health treat options. I like to set up a meet and great before your dog stays in my home just to ensure you and your pet are comfortable. I look forward to caring for your furry loved one!

I was looking for a sitter for my 1.5 year old Great Dane. I met with a rover sitter and didn't feel 100% comfortable about booking. BUT once I found Mel and met her I was sure that's where we we're going to leave our pup while we vacationed. Mel was so professional and had a ton of experience in meeting and introducing her dogs and handling dogs. My dog even had a bit of a stomach schedule while we were gone and Mel made me feel better about being away. And it's not easy leaving your animals, especially a 140 pound dog. Not everyone knows how to handle giant dogs but Mel did amazing! The best part while we were away we're the pupdates and pics of our dog!
This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving my 5 month old GSP with a sitter. I was so pleased with how easy Rover was to work with and exceptionally pleased with how Mel and Erik cared for Elwood. I knew he was safe in their dog-friendly home, and happy playing and hanging out with their lovely dogs, Sawyer and Luna, getting lots of exercise in their great fenced dog-friendly yard. Daily pup updates, including pictures, was very much appreciated. My only concern is their availability when I need to book again!
Rover.com was super convenient and easy to use. Their filters really helped me to narrow down the ideal dog sitter for Teddy. Mel B. was amazing. You could immediately tell that she was a dog lover. I felt safe leaving Teddy in her care. He hit it off right away with her family and her two lovely dogs. We received regular pup updates about how Teddy was and photos of him. We had to leave town for a family emergency and it was a relief to know that my dog was well cared for during such a stressful time in our lives. I highly recommend Mel, she was very professional, friendly, and courteous. Her home and yard was a perfect fit for us.
