It’s important to know if your dog is crate trained or not. We do both in our home. Zoey was crates but graduated to being left out on her own over the years. Charlie is still working on his crate training. He is put in his crate when we need to leave the house. Some dogs experience separation anxiety from missing their parents and we want to make sure they are comfortable during their stay. If they aren’t used to being crated, we do have other means to keep the dogs separated while we are not home.

Our pup Charlie gives us a 6 am wake up call for a potty break each morning. Then, around 9 am is breakfast time! Since we have a fenced in yard, we give them unlimited access to going outside. When they go outside, they are never left unattended. I will always be out there with them. Charlie loves to play with other doggos so he keeps them moving and having fun! Zoey loves sniffing every inch of the yard while she’s out there and leads adventures/tours for our new friends. She is a bit lazy but an excellent host! In the house, we let everyone on the furniture for snuggles, pets, and toy time. We have multiple dog beds as well to give each friend their own space.
