From puppy training to end-of-life care, I have done it all. I got my first dog at the age of 7 and have had one ever since. We recently lost both of our Yorkies (Gus in Oct 2021 and Ginger in Dec 2021). They were littermates and we miss them terribly. In the past 11 years, I have cared for dogs recovering from major/minor surgery, which included assisting them with eating, drinking, medication, potty time, and playtime. I have also cared for dogs with special dietary needs. I enjoy walking around our safe neighborhood and playing in our large, fenced-in backyard. I do have a small dog door that can remain open or closed for convenience. I also am fine with dogs that use potty pads inside. I have reusable pads that can be thrown in the wash or you may provide your own disposable pads. Dogs are also welcome to sleep on the bed/couch. I am happy to accommodate same-day requests if my children are not home. Otherwise, I do prefer to do a meet and greet to make sure animals and kids are all ok together.

We sent our 4-year old Pomeranian girl to Meghan’s house to play for the day time when we were skiing all day. Meghan sent us a lot of funny pictures of Donna and we really love them!! Our pick-up time was delayed twice due to the traffic, Meghan is always very nice and flexible on the schedule. We will definitely choose Meghan when we visit SLC next time!
Meghan is very nice. Donna had a really great time playing with Meghan and her two lovely daughters. They took care of Donna very well.
I would use Meghan any time and will likely use her again. She paid close attention to care instructions, updated me regularly even though our trip was long, sent me many photos, and clearly demonstrated loving care and concern for our girl. I have used other sitters that did not feel very engaged, and so this was hands down our best dog-sitting experience. Highly recommend.

I have a large fenced yard and 2 kids who are very kind and gentle with animals. They LOVE to give any furry friend attention or space when needed. We live in a safe neighborhood, which makes walks easy. I do keep the kids room off-limits to pets, but the rest of the home is open for them to have space to roam. If dogs need to be kept in a non-carpeted area (for potty reasons), I do have a large spacious kitchen and am able to separate multiple dogs, in the event that I am not home. I also have a medium-sized kennel, if needed.

It is important that I know your dogs temperament with other dogs that we may encounter on walks. Are they ok with other dogs or do I need to walk on the other side of the street of an approaching furry friend? How are they on a leash? Are they a runner? What are the basic command words your dog is familiar with (eg. sit, stay, no, come)? Does your dog allow to be picked up, if needed? What is your treat/feeding protocol? Any special dietary needs?
A typical day
We love to frequent local parks and walk around the neighborhood, which is very safe and dog friendly. I also have a large backyard that is great for playing fetch.

Availability
I work FT, but Tues/Thurs I work from home. Mon/Wed/Fri I am typically gone from 8:30-3 pm. I am around on weekends and am happy to board any day of the week, if your pup can stay alone for 6-7 hours in the days I’m in the office.
