I've taken care of dogs most of my life, as an owner and to help out friends and neighbors. I have owned two large Labrador retrievers and a lab-pit bull mix, and currently own a 6 yr-old chihuahua/terrier mix. I am an avid walker and will take your dog on the long walks he/she needs.

My husband and I are never fond of leaving our 11 year old yellow lab, Macy, when we go away. So, we always try to make certain she is in good hands. Meghan was definitely the right choice. She is caring and conscientious, and followed through on all of our instructions. Meghan was also always quick to reply to a text or email while we were gone. She was also extremely patient and flexible when we had to change our dates. And as an added bonus...she left our house spotless!
Meghan is a fantastic dog sitter! We felt totally comfortable leaving our young dog with her. She is dependable and fully capable. We will certainly use her again.
Meghan did a great job dog sitting my 2 dogs including one having separation anxiety. Highly recommended!

I will keep your dog on a leash during all walks, and aim to walk in low traffic areas of your neighborhood. I will speak with you in advance regarding whether your dog is okay to socialize with other dogs (i.e. on walks or at the park). I will keep an eye on your dog during all potty breaks and ensure that any items that might be dangerous to your dog within your home are kept out of reach at all times. I will speak with you in advance to understand the needs of your dog, and any risks that you account for in your home and the surrounding neighborhood.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, and whether or not they do well in the company of another dog. My dog, Teagan, can be reactive around other dogs at first but generally warms up (and does best with smaller dogs) - a meet and greet will be essential. I would also love to know what makes your dog happy, as well as what makes them tick, to ensure they have a good stay.
A typical day
I will treat your dog like family! I will take your dog on walks, as appropriate, and play with toys at home. We have a big park near our apartment to explore.

I am a graduate student with a flexible schedule. I work from home most days and can fit my schedule around the dog's needs (regular walks, potty breaks, etc.).
