1+ Acre Fenced ❤️Training Offered!

Pet care experience

❤️1+ Acre Fenced Yard ❤️ Highly Experienced ❤️ Training & Photography Offered! ❤️ If you have to be away, let your dog come relax at their home away from home. Hi pet parents! My name is Meghan. I am a freelance photographer and dog trainer who has loved and taken care of dogs my entire life. I work from home, giving me lots of time to dote on your favorite pup. With a fully fenced yard and a home constructed around the happiness and safety of my high energy German Shorthaired Pointers, your dog will be very safe, loved like my own, and constantly entertained. My home is structured around the comfort of my own "kids" as well as yours. We have a fully fenced 1 acre yard, which can be sectioned into three separate areas as needed. There are plenty of spacious areas, multiple beds for relaxing, and well as a slip-free matted space for play and training. My own two dogs, Tavi and Mandi, love visitors and playing with visiting friends! My dog savvy husband and I often take a team approach to providing for the animals in our care, which means your pets will receive extra love and attention during their stay. Each pet's experience is tailored to their individual needs. During their stay, your dogs are always my number one priority. When working with pets I also put great value in communication with their people. Before caring for your pet, I will take an extensive history from you and review any questions or concerns you may have. While in my care your dog will be treated with the utmost respect and kindness, you will be provided with frequent updates, and you will have access to my personal contact information. I understand the stress that leaving your pet can cause, but you can rest assured knowing that your animals will be cared for as if they are my own. I have extensive training experience, with a special focused paid to generalized obedience, behavior modification, and specialized training for service dogs and competition sports. I spent years training and caring for horses as well, which has given me great insight into the nuances of dog training. My own dogs and I spend many days in the woods and fields, and enjoy participating in various dog sports (agility, dock diving, hunting, and conformation -- Think Westminster!).  - - - Detailed below is additional information regarding what to bring and what I ask of all pet parents to keep your pets happy and comfortable. I am more than happy to care for puppies, elderly and special needs dogs, behaviorally challenged dogs and dogs that are intact. If you have a non-canine friend in need of supervision, let me know. I love to work with other animals as well. Meet & Greet and Introductions: The Meet & Greet is a fabulous way for your pup to meet me, as well as for you to see where they will be staying and ask any questions you might have. Please keep in mind I do *not* introduce dogs at Meet & Greets. To allow for a safe and positive experience, all dogs are slowly introduced in a controlled manner when they come for their stay. Do you have a dog that needs custom 24/7 care? Though no pet will ever be left alone for long, I am more than happy to devote all of my time to your pet alone. For this I adjust my schedule so I can stay with them 24/7. This is a wonderful option for pets recovering from medical procedures, those with separation anxiety, and for elderly pets who need extra care. Because I accept no other clients during these custom stays, this option does come with an additional charge. - - - You will be provided with a pet hosting form and vet release before your pet’s stay. Please make sure to fill these out before drop off! Feel free to call or email with any questions or concerns that come up before your stay. WHAT TO BRING
To help make your pet as comfortable as possible during your time away, please be sure to bring:  A collar with identification, a 4-6ft leash (no flexi leads please), their food, a crate, proof of vaccinations, and any medications needed. Though not necessary, it is also helpful to provide your pet's food bowl, any training aids they are accustomed to, and familiar treats, chews and toys. POLICIES AND EXTRAS 1. For their safety and comfort, an appropriately sized crate is REQUIRED for any dog staying with me. Due to the importance of this, dogs dropped off without an appropriate crate will not be accepted.
 2. To keep all of the animals under my care healthy and disease free, proof of vaccination(s) and/or titres are required for each animal. For your dog’s safety, they must be up to date on Distemper, Parvo, Rabies and Bordetella. An intestinal worm check must be current within a year, and all dogs must be on monthly flea and heartworm treatment.
*Exceptions will be made only with a note from your veterinarian.
3, Late Booking Fee: Need to go away on an emergency? No problem! Because we waive the meet & greet for this and must adjust our scheduled appointments, a $20 fee will be added to any service not booked with at least 48 hours prior notice. A Meet & Greet is highly encouraged before any bookings are accepted, so booking in advance is very much recommended!
 4. Business Hours: Business hours are between 8am and 5pm. Availability outside of these hours is possible with prior notice for an additional $5/dog/hour. During boarding stays, pick up on departure day is included from 8am-10am. Your pet is more than welcome to stay longer by scheduling daycare. Dogs dropped off or picked up outside of the scheduled time will incur a $20 convenience charge.
 5. Cancellations: Day Care, Boarding, House Sitting and Farm Care bookings will be refunded at 100% with at least 1 week notice, or 50% with at least 48-hours notice. Drop In Visits & Walking bookings are refunded at 100% with at least 48 hours notice. Services not canceled with 48-hours notice cannot be refunded.
 6. Belongings: If you bring items from home, please limit the number of toys to two. All items must be labeled. I am not responsible for lost or damaged items and replacement is not available.
 7. Communication: While your dog is staying with me, you will be given my personal contact info for 24/7 access. All other inquiries will be handled between 8AM and 5PM. - - - SERVICES OFFERED • Boarding — Don’t want your pups home alone while you’re gone? If so, boarding is a great option! Boarded dogs come to stay with me overnight in my home, and are treated like family. 24/7 care is available upon request. • House Sitting — House sitting is available if you would like your animals cared for in your home. Upon request I am happy to care for plants, bring in mail and take out garbage as well. • Drop-In Visits — Drop ins are perfect if you simply need someone to check on and care for your animals in your home. During these visits your pets will be have 30 minutes to be doted on. Drop-ins include feeding and watering, going out to potty, and walking, play, and snuggles. • Doggy Daycare — Hate leaving your pets at home during the day? Bring them over for a fun-filled daytime stay! This is a great option to allow your pets to get plenty of play time, potty breaks, and snuggles when you can’t be home during the day. • Dog Walking — Give a 30 minute break to your pup with a fun-filled walk. This gives them the opportunity to do their business and get in some exercise. • Farm Care — Farm care is available by request. Contact me for more information! • Dog Training — Private lessons and board and train are available on a case by case basis. Both basic obedience and behavioral modification are offered. This can include crate training, resolving destructive behavior, jumping, leash pulling, indoor marking, persistent barking and more. I’d love to hear from you to discuss your training needs! • Grooming — I am more than happy to provide your dog with a bath or groom them at your request ($20-30/bath, $15/nail trim, $15-25/brush out dependent on coat). Dogs need to be comfortable and familiar with these activities in order to receive this service. If your dog struggles with baths, nail trims, etc, please discuss the issue with me to see if something can be worked out. • Professional Photography — I would love to help you capture some cute photos of you and your favorite pet! I specialize in both pet portraiture and dog sport photography. Reach out to discuss your ideas! Examples of my work can be viewed at FieldandFocusPhotography (dot)com

Meghan completed several drop in visits while I went out of town over night. My pup Tilly is a rescue & although she had previously met Meghan, she was anxious at the time of the first visit. Meghan was very kind & patient. By the third visit Tilly had come out of her shell & was enjoying her time with Meghan. I really appreciate the care that Meghan provided & I felt like Tilly was in good hands. I would definitely leave Tilly with Meghan again.

I can't say enough GOOD about Meghan and MIke! They went above and beyond to make Otis feel at home and to let us know he was happy and playing well with her 2 beautiful pups! He was happy and he was loved... they really enjoyed him and he felt that. I think he misses them now! We have new rover friends for life and will book them again.... you should use Meghan if you are reading this. She really pays attention to the instructions you give and spoils your fur babies rotten! Robin Craven

Meghan B is an excellent sitter! She is kind and caring, and I love how flexible her hours are. My mother is in hospice care so I need her services with little lead time. I’m so grateful for Meghan and her babies. My fur babies loved their time with Meghan and I know they are looking forward to their next dog sitting appointment.

Please let me know about any special needs, medications, and behavioral quirks or preferences. To keep your dog comfortable, as much information about their daily routine as you can provide is also very helpful.

A typical day

When in my care your dogs will enjoy walks in natural areas, as well as vigorous games and relaxation time in my fully fenced yard. Stimulating indoor games such as tug, fetch and hide and seek will keep their minds active while inside. Food puzzles and frozen Kongs allow a fun way to de-stress. They are able relax on provided beds or in their crate, and are welcome to snuggle up with me on the couch or bed as well.
