Hello! My name is Megan. I've been around animals my whole life. I am experienced with dogs and cats of all ages. I have always had pets in my life. From turtles to birds to now currently a very large puppy and a senior kitty. If drops or pills (or cuddles!) need to be administered, I am experienced with that. I want only the best for my pets and would expect nothing less than the best for yours. I have great respect and love for all animals and would love to meet your furbabies! 😊

Megan was a thoughtful and thorough pet sitter! She took care of 5 dogs and 3 cats while we were away. She made sure they ate their complicated meals and took their medicine. This was our first experience leaving our 15 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with anyone other than our daughter, who is no longer available to care for Rusty in our absence. We hired Megan Z. through ROVER, and our 4 days away at an out-of-state wedding were totally stress-free. Megan came for two "Meet & Greet" sessions with Rusty and us before our trip. She was so cheerful and attentive, as I went through Rusty's routine. Megan was willing to follow his schedule with no hesitation including spending the night, since Rusty is deaf and has never been left alone overnight. Since our home alarm alerts us when someone arrives, we know that Megan was punctual, which really pleased us, since Rusty is extremely time conscious. Megan was always prompt to answer my texts, and she shared sweet pictures of Rusty each day. When we came home, Rusty was his laid-back normal self. We were so grateful for Megan's genuine love for dogs and her dedication to our beloved Rusty. She earned a nice tip, and we will definitely be using her in the future.

I like to do a meet and greet with you and your pet/s prior to the requested dates. This allows them to see me interact with you and see if I would be a good fit to care for them. I try to maintain their daily routine as best as I can. If they go on daily walks, I can do that or play with them outside. I will keep you updated daily. Usually a text or 2 in the early evening complete with a picture. If there are special requests, I am always glad to assist as much as possible. You can rest assured that your pet will be loved and cared for.

It is important for me to meet your pet so they are familiar with me when I come over. I also ask clients to have a list of emergency contacts and your vet's information in case something happens. Please include any instructions if your pet has a specific diet or medication. You can also include a little information on your pet such as if they are good around other people or dogs, house trained, leash trained, etc. Any fun quirks to look for, or what their favorite things are.
A typical day
I try to mimic what a typical day is like for your pet. If they take medication, eat, walk, sleep at a specific time I want to maintain that normalcy for them. This will help them not feel as anxious or sad you are away. When it comes to dogs, I can also provide some mentally stimulating activities by taking a super slow sniff walk, learning some fun tricks, or just playing sniff the treat!

Availability
I currently work from home full-time. My lunch breaks are very flexible if needed. I work normal business hours of 8am to 5pm Monday - Friday. So, I am a very flexible person whether I watch your pet once or on a schedule. I am currently taking new clients and show weekends only. I am open to longer stays possibly.
