As a life-long dog owner and animal lover, I will make sure that your pet receives the care and attention they need, while leaving you worry-free while you are enjoying your time away from home. A little About my Experience with Dogs: I've owned many dogs throughout my life, mainly Golden Retrievers, but I am comfortable with all dogs big and small. I currently have an 8-year-old Pug named Pickles, who is the most easy going dog on earth and gets along well with other dogs although he's pretty low-energy. I have cared for both puppies and elderly dogs, and understand their needs and limits, but will always make sure that they are adequately stimulated throughout the day. About my Home: I live in a safe, secure, and dog-friendly apartment building. Our apartment is very spacious with 2 bedrooms and a patio that's secured with no way for the dogs to fit through the bars. Because we love to snuggle with our pets and they're part of the family, dogs are allowed on the furniture and sometimes in bed, but our dog Pickles sleeps in his crate in the den on most nights. My Dog-Sitting Style: I'm very flexible and understand that dogs need some time to adjust to new surroundings. Your dog will quickly feel right at home with me, my husband, and Pickles, as we will give them lots of love and care. My Schedule: I don't work weekends, and am home most of the time. As a teacher, I have summers free and will open up my availability to during the week. Other Things You Should Know: Due to weight limits at my apartment, we can only take dogs up to 50 lbs., but if you have a larger dog, I'd be happy to house sit. If you choose to for me to house sit, I would be happy to care for any other pets that you have as I have owned cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, birds, and reptiles (although dogs are my favorite). I also could take care of plants and do a little light cleaning around the house while you're away.
