Pet care experience
I would be honored and grateful to care for your pet(s) and share my days with them! With no animals of my own anymore, I have a lot of love to give. My family had two cats and a dog for my entire childhood. Cleo was an outspoken and motherly cat who made her love known every day. Tony, an outdoorsy and active fellow, alternated between the personality of a cranky grandpa and the playfulness of a kitten. And Dallas, our mixed breed pitbull/lab/beagle/shephard/unknown pup, was the epitome of sweetness. We lost Tony and Cleo in the summer of 2018, and Dallas most recently in the summer of 2022. I'm comfortable caring for elderly pets, including syringe feeding, daily grooming, and gentle exercise paired with quality time. Dallas was a sneaky little fiend who loved escaping the yard and rifling through trash, so I'm familiar with high-energy pups who need extra attention to keep them entertained and out of trouble.
Reviews
Our experience with Megan was GREAT! She watched our two cats in our home. She took LOTS of pictures and sent detailed updates each day. I’m so impressed with her dependability. When a winter storm hit and everything shut down, she braved the icy roads to take care of our kitties. Highly recommend, and we will definitely ask Megan back in the future.

My house is currently unavailable for hosting and I can only do in-home visits. My approach to pet care is to give your animals lots of attention, play & exercise at least once every hour, a watchful eye, and plenty of snuggles (if they're the snuggly type)! I'm also happy to provide moderate cleaning and housework for a small additional fee. Your pet's health, safety, and happiness are my number one priorities.
Information Megan T. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of your pet(s)' special needs or behaviors, including: - dietary requirements and feeding schedule (including treat allowances) - social behaviors while on walks and around other animals/people - commands, tricks, or behaviors you'd like us to practice - your usual reward system for good behavior (verbal, treats, cuddles, etc.) - strong dislikes (EX: doesn't like their belly being scratched; snaps at strange dogs) - energy level and amount of exercise needed - some of their favorite things :) - anxieties and phobias - off-limit activities (dog parks, hiking, sleeping on couch, etc.)
A typical day
I believe it's important to keep your dogs stimulated mentally and physically. Keeping their minds active with fun toys and puzzles, going for walks and exploring new scents, learning and practicing tricks, reinforcing positive behaviors, and playing one-on-one games like fetch or hide and seek are some of my favorite ways to keep your dogs engaged. If your dogs are up for it, taking them on a pet-safe hike is one of my favorite activities! And following up with a relaxing bath and doggy massage is the perfect way to end an active day.
