Underground dog fence

Pet care experience

I have always lived in a home with various types of animals. I have two dogs myself and while I do not have a certificate I have dog training experience. I do coat checks every night after my pets have been outside, taking note of any scratches, bumps or lumps that could have been from rough playing or things such as ticks- and I have yet to find one! While I am lenient with dogs allowing them on furniture I would respect a pet parents decision to not allow this. I can assist in crate training and offer tips on any troubled behavior. I understand that a pet is a best friend, family member and so much more so I do everything that I can to insure a happy, healthy and safe environment by doing things such as recognizing when an animal is stressed and allowing them to calm down in a closed off area, taking the animal out multiple times a day to allow easy access for themselves to go potty and making sure they get good exercise.

I've worked with megan for years and she is absolutely wonderful. I had a certificate in training, small animals, pet grooming, k9 nutrition and small business and she meets every standard from someone who has the same degree. Her own dogs are fantastic and extremely well mannered. Megan strives in being wonderful 100% of the time. She is HIGHLY recommend by me and my co workers.

Megan is the most loving, knowledgeable person I know when it comes to animals. Through her employment at PetCo., she has strived to become a resource for anyone to learn about their current or potential future companions, and she puts the welfare of the animals first every day; it will always be her priority. She forms an effortless connection with every animal unlike anything I have seen, she treats them like they're her own (usually it's because she wants them to be hers haha). I am confident she can make a best friend out of any dog within moments of meeting. Any owner and their family pet will feel comfortable leaving their worries behind once they meet her.

Megan is very knowledgable about caring for animals, and I feel very comfortable leaving my dog with her. She has an absolute love for pets and she loves taking care of them.

Megan had been my go to cat sitter for almost a couple years now. She does an excellent job of keeping my 3 year old cat fed, giving him water, and cleaning up whatever mess he might make. She also keeps him occupied which is the main reason why I keep asking her to cat sit. He can get a little rowdy if left alone for too long without being played with or something to do. I have also referred her to my grandparents who have a Bichon (who is getting up there in years, she's about 11) and they rave about her every time I see them. She truly cares about all animals’ well-being and that makes all the difference in the care that my cat and my grandparents’ dog receive.

Information Megan S. would like to know about your pet

Is the animal aggressive to men, women, cats or dogs? Any health issues that I should be worried about (seizures, easily upset stomach, does not like car rides) Will the dog pull hard while on walks and if so will a harness be provided?

A typical day

We have a large open area where the dogs could run free, with or without the in-ground fence activated, long leads for early mornings and late evening so the dogs can roam outside and socialize and frequent walks along trails and to parks.
