Pet care experience
Hi! I used to walk dogs for a dog walking company, but now just freelance petsit on Rover. I am pet first aid certified and absolutely love animals. I am on time, very reliable, and genuinely care about pet safety and truly have fun during visits. I don't currently have a dog of my own in Chicago (my parents have our family dog, Bailey) so this job is amazing for me. I am also great with cats (I have one cat of my own) and have experience with many other animals including hamsters/rodents, bearded dragons, fish (lol), etc. I do not mind small extra tasks such as watering plants, picking up mail, etc. Just leave a list :) A bit about myself: I am currently living in Edgewater now and have recently completed a coding bootcamp. I love art, gardening, and visiting museums in the city. My cat Biko is the furbaby I've always dreamt of. I eventually want a dog of my own, but for now, petsitting and hanging out with my cat are more than enough.

Megan is awesome!! I’m a huge fan! I’m genuinely stoked whenever she accepts a request because my super shy and ridiculously selective little girl absolutely adores her. So I can always be at ease and know that my baby is having a great time with someone she loves and that she is being so well looked after. I only go into the rooms in your home where I am instructed to go unless told otherwise. Discretion is very important to me. I usually like to know their age, any triggers they have, the location of their food and water dishes and/or litter boxes, favorite toys and treats, and commands that they use.
A typical day
I love long walks, so if your dog needs more exercise, I am ready! I usually plan a general route before the walk to the nearest park. If we finish our walk a bit early, I like to play with their toys with them, and always finish with a bowl of fresh water and treats (if allowed by owner). For cat visits, I feed the cats, clean their litter box, administer meds if necessary, and play with/pet them. I love cat visits just as much as dog visits.

I have a super flexible schedule, so I am available if you need me at more obscure times or holidays. I’m usually always in Chicago as I rarely go out of town.
