Dogs: Growing up my parents bred different breeds of dogs on an acre of land. We had dachshunds, poodles, boxers, English bulldogs, etc. My parents showcased a love for animals and taught me how to take care of dogs at a young age (9). This was a normal part of my life until I moved out and took in a dog of my own (Brewsky, Black and Tan mini dachshund) who I’ve now had for 7 years! I believe in dog sitting, you are taking care of the dog as a child. Giving it one on one attention, playing with it, and exercising the dog when needed. Cats: I also love cats! I took in two cats when I was 18 and raised them from little kittens to young adulthood before giving them to a loving family. I understand with cats that personalities vary and some need time to warm up. I’ve had experiences with cat sitting in the past. The same view I have with dog sitting also stands with cat sitting but can be a little different depending on the individual cat. No matter what fur-child you have, I guarantee that I will respect their space and your space while giving them the attention and time they desire.
