I like big mutts, and I can not lie

Pet care experience

I have taken care of and owned many dog breeds for 17 years. I have a soft spot for special needs/disabled and senior pets, and a wild side for energetic dogs. I am experienced with dogs with terminal illness, those requiring medications, separation anxiety, and excessive energy. I have been certified as a vet assistant, completed courses in veterinary technology, and have a background in canine nutrition. I am an active rescue and foster mom with a local shelter, whom I adopted one of my current dogs from. My life revolves around spending time with my two dogs and taking them on new adventures.

Megan was amazing! We did a meet and greet the day before camo stayed there just to make sure things would work out and they did. Camo did amazing with Megan! When I asked Megan for updates on how camo was or what they did she would let me know. They went on hikes camo knows how to swim she just never went into a pool before so she introduced her to the pool. Took her on there golf cart, took her to a flower field. Also Megan goes over and beyond!!!!!! When we picked up camo I was so happy to see that camo made 2 things a beautiful peanut butter portrait and also she got her paw print done on a heart it was awesome!!!! The fact that I knew my dog was in good hands kept me at ease! Thank you again so much Megan when we go on vacation or need a sitter for whatever reason I will go back! And I will be referring her to everyone I know!

Our little guy Oliver had the best weekend hanging out with Megan and her two pups. Oliver met Megan on a Friday afternoon and when I needed to drop him off on Saturday he was so excited to see her and happy to be there. When we picked him up a few days later, he was relaxed and tired out from all of his fun weekend activities. He even tried swimming for the first time. Megan was a wonderful sitter for us and we will be booking her again soon. I will recommend her to anyone. Any dog would be lucky to have such a knowledgeable and loving caregiver. ♡

Megan was fabulous! She is quick to respond, was very sweet, and went above and beyond to make our dog have a great stay! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.

I have a fenced yard, and a home wide open to the enjoyment of your pup(s). All dogs who enter our home are treated as one of my own. We take daily walks, swim in the pool, visit local parks and beaches with owner permission, and spend lots of time cuddling and relaxing. It is not uncommon for me to send photos and videos of your dog snuggled up in my bed receiving a hot (warm) stone massage with a blindfold on and meditation music playing. When I perform walks / potty breaks from the owners home, I ensure all their needs are met and they go back home feeling relieved and ready for a nap!

Information Megan M. would like to know about your pet

Pleas let me know if your dog is potty trained, destructive, crate trained, has any separation issues, is a flight risk, health concerns, etc. Let me know of their favorite things to do and eat. And of course, let me know of things they are not allowed to have or do so I can maintain their behavior you expect out of them. Please let me know if your female is in heat or expected to go into heat. My only male is neutered. I only accept male dogs on a case by case basis and they must be neutered. Prior to accepting a booking, I require a meet and greet to ensure all dogs get along and to observe your dogs behavior. In the event you have a male, I am looking to make sure he does not have the desire to lift his leg indoors or on my patio and that he does not hump frequently. If you know your dog marks or humps, please do not book with me. I also like to let the owner see where their dog will be and give them peace of mind about their whereabouts. Upon arriving to my home, I typically put my dogs away to meet with you and your dog(s) first in a more quiet environment. I occasionally do not introduce my male to certain people as he is a rescue and almost everyone scares him. When I do, I take it slow and ask men to not wear hats as he is afraid of those. Do not take it personal if he barks at you and runs away for being too tall, having a beard, being a man, talking loud, wearing a hat, moving too fast.. the list goes on.

A typical day

Typical days with me include swimming, long walks, exploring fields nearby, staging photoshoots, hide n seek, and encouraging zoomies!! Dogs that are allowed to leave the house find themselves on adventures to parks. Dogs that are required to stay at the house are given mental stimulation through peanut butter filled Kongs, massages, and craft hour.

I own my business and work from home most days. On the occasion that requires me to go in the field, I first exercise any pets including my own so they are well rested. I always separate my dogs from guest dogs and those guests stay in my spare bedroom. The room is set up as an actual guest bedroom so they will listen to meditation music while lounging on a dog bed or human bed. In the event a dog requires a cage, I only have medium/small sizes. I do not leave puppies or dogs under 1 year of age alone at all. Our typical day is filled with fun and adventure as we like to explore new places and experiences. My dogs regularly host slumber parties and pool parties with their dog friends and we always welcome new friends!
