Growing up, my mom was a vet so I was always surrounded by animals. The fewest amount of pets we ever had was 4, and I've been around dogs and cats my whole life. I have taken care of pets as young as 8 weeks old (a puppy learning to be house trained) and as old as 12 (an excitable elderly dog who enjoyed his long slow walks through the neighborhood). I know that, when you are away, it is important that your pets get quality time with their sitter, so I will always spend extra time with the animals after I have fed them, walked them, scooped their litter, etc. to make sure that they get the love they need. I have a good understanding of stress and anxiety in pets and am perfectly happy to sit with pets until they feel safe with me in their home. I also feel comfortable giving medication and taking care of senior pets and puppies. I love being around animals and I want to make sure that your animals are cared for the way that I always hoped my family pets were cared for when my family was away! :)
