Pet care experience
I’ve been around dogs since I was a baby. I participated in obedience classes with our family dogs growing up, pet sitting and dog walking for neighbors and family friends. When I was 15 I got my first job as a kennel technician at a boarding kennel in Zionsville. While there I learned all about basic dog grooming, care, dog behavior both separate and in group play. I have multiple years of experience working with very young puppies, adolescents, adult dogs who just want a companion and seniors who need more TLC. While in college I worked as a groomer where I was able to interact with dozens of different breeds and become comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I’ve also worked in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant for several years. I’m qualified to give injectable medication, monitor patient care and take vitals regularly. These skills have come in very handy when caring for more delicate clients.
Reviews
Megan is a wonderful cat sitter and person. I am sooo. Very grateful to her.
Megan took great care of our fur baby and sent lots of cute pictures and updates. It felt so good to know that he was being cared for so diligently and with so much love.
We are so happy we found Megan to sit our 1yr old Golden. She was great and provided daily updates and a bunch of pictures. We truly felt very comfortable and at ease knowing our pup was safe and happy during his stay. She went above and beyond in the communication process. Can’t credit her enough for the job she did. She was awesome.
Mocha and Enzo had an awesome time with Megan, Pia and Theo. Megan sent great pic's and stories of their days together, which looked like an elongated playdate for the Muppets :) If Megan will have them, Enzo and Mocha, have a new home from home :)

I have a fenced in bark park at my complex that is large enough to give ample room to run and play on the agility equipment. I have spare crates that are used during feeding times and to allow everyone their own space throughout the day! All boarders and daycare pups *MUST BE* crate-trained and housebroken. My balcony is secure and has a turf pad down to prevent any splinters from the deck or toes getting stuck between the slats. No one is ever left outside of a crate when I am not physically in my home with them for the safety and well-being of all animals in my care. I also have several enrichment toys and activities to get those brains working and tire your pup out that way as well! I have my own dog and cat, Theo is 4 years old and a golden retriever and my cat is a 10lb domestic medium hair. She’s very friendly and accustomed to dogs, however I do ask that if your dog has a high prey drive to not request to book with me as I cannot accommodate dogs that pose a danger to her. Prior to booking for boarding and daycare I do require a minimum of a meet and greet with all animals that will present in my home for the duration of the booking! I do also offer a trial day for boarders free of charge in order to ensure the utmost comfort and fit for your pup in my home! Boarders and daycare dogs are required to have rabies, DHPP and kennel cough vaccines up to date and flea/tick prevention is heavily encouraged. Proof of vaccines will be required for all boarders and daycare pups. Thank you for understanding.

A typical day
I love to work dogs both physically and mentally! We will go on several walks throughout the day (weather depending) to explore the new smells of my neighborhood. We’ll test out the agility equipment in the bark park, play fetch and let the pups stretch their legs. I have several different types of enrichment toys and activities to help get those brains going and have a happy and tuckered pup ready for you at pick-up!

Availability
I’m currently working from home full-time during the week from 8-4. Because of that I’m pulling back on the services I’m offering during the work week. I will be continuing to provide AM and evening/nighttime drop-in visits and am still accepting boarders. Daycare and walks are being reduced down to weekends and holidays only. I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to provide as many potty breaks as needed, keep everybody engaged and active as well as closely monitoring playtime and feeding times.
