Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs almost my whole life! I love their wagging tails and wet nose kisses. In addition to taking care of my own dogs I have also dog sat multiple other dogs as well. Care has included daily walks, adventures to the dog park, care in my home and also dog sitting over night in the home in which the dog resides. I love playing with dogs and how excited they get. Our home is a place where fun is had by all, the toys are always out and then relaxation when the pups are tired. We live in a house with a fenced in backyard. Currently we are only offering housesitting, drop ins and walks. We look forward to getting to know your pups and you as well!

Megan was such a great sitter for my 13 month old lab/pit mix and 4 year old Pitbull. Because I was a bit nervous about my dogs meeting someone new, I asked Megan for a meet and greet to which she made herself available to do without question! It was a great experience and you could definitely tell she cares about the animals she is entrusted to care for. During her stay she sent me photos and kept me up to date on when she planned to arrive and depart the household to care for them. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for top notch care!
Megan is fantastic!!! Such a sweetheart and Stella loved her! Always had updates and photos each time she went over. She is a true animal lover and someone you can always count on. Absolutely will always choose Megan to take care of my fur baby! Highly recommend! Thank again Megan!

In your home I will care for your dogs as if you would. If they get crated when you leave the home, I can crate. If they sleep in the bed with you then they will sleep in the bed with me. Part of our meet and greet will be going over how you would like them to be cared for.
Information Megan J. would like to know about your pet
I’m fine with any and all breeds and sized dogs. I’ve personally had German Shepherds and Great Danes so I’m very used to large dogs. I’m open to watching all sizes though. I currently watch dogs ranging from pugs to Great Danes on occasion. I’d like to know the physical activity level of the dogs. Do the dogs have any particular stressors? I.e. being alone, other dogs, men, women. Both my husband and I work. I am a first grade teacher and he is an engineer. There would not be anyone in the house from 7:30-2:30. There are occasions where he helps me with the care of dogs but I am the primary person that would be providing care to you dogs. If he were to help me it would first be discussed with you
A typical day
I love incorporating enrichment into my stays with your fur friends! There are a variety of options from treats like bully sticks to putting some treats in a kong wobbler or using a snuffle mat for feeding. All of these allow dogs to work their minds along with getting a reward.

Availability
Currently I am a teacher in Fredericksburg city schools so Monday through Friday I will be away from the home 7:15-4:15. On the weekends and school breaks I am available for more of the day.
