Cats, dogs, exotics, & more! 🐩

Pet care experience

Hello! I’m Megan- I’ve worked in a professional setting caring for animals since 2016, and I’ve loved every moment of it! Since I was young, I’ve always had at least two dogs in my home. I’m very familiar with collies, labs, poodles, and doodles! I grew up dog sitting the neighbors animals, and that’s where my love for the pet-care industry began. Since 2016, I’ve worked with a breeder in Central IL to bell and crate train 8-13 week old puppies. I just recently ceased working with them, and as of now, I’ve helped to train over 500 puppies! I currently work at at SportsVet in Savoy as a dog grooming assistant, which I love! I previously worked at a local dog boarding kennel as a kennel technician where I was responsible for caring for dogs in all aspects- feeding, exercise, medication, and even assisting with grooming! Someday I hope to own my own doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming facility ❤️ I now live on my own, and I have a perfect 9 year old toy poodle named Levi! I’ve worked with all sizes of dogs- from Great Danes to 2lb Chihuahuas, I’ve done it all! I have extensive experience in giving medications to dogs- eye drops, injections, and pills! I also offer deshedding (for those hard-to-manage double coated pups!), in home bath/blow dries (I have my own grooming/bathing/drying supplies) and nail trimming for a very reasonable price. Ask about adding it on to your pets next visit with me!

Megan was a great sitter for our kitten while we were out of town! She played with him a bunch, kept him well taken care of, and sent us lots of pictures and detailed updates. We would definitely use Megan again in the future!

Megan was great! Easily the best pet sitter we’ve had in years. We loved all the pictures from the time we were away, and she was an excellent communicator from start to finish. We are looking forward to booking with Megan again in the future :)

I can crate your dog when needed, and can stick to an exact schedule to ensure that your pet stays as comfortable as possible. With me there, your pet will be tuckered out by the time you get home, for a nice relaxing evening and some good sleep!

Information Megan H. would like to know about your pet

Things that are incredibly important to know about a dog before caring for them is the following: - Things that could make the dog uncomfortable, such as touching their face, tail, other parts of their body, or their food. - Things that make the dog more comfortable, or at home. Things like this include certain toys, treats, belly rubs, or other things that make them happy:) - Medical history! If your dog has had any previous health issues, such as a history of seizures, it is very important to mention that so that I can prepare for any unexpected scenario and provide the best care possible for your pet. - Potty schedule! Does your dog poop 2 or 3 times a day? Do they have to go out right after they eat, or do they have any certain routine? I want to make sure your pup stays comfortable ? - Feeding/medication schedule, and any allergies - And finally, any information that you as the owner think is important for us sitters to know.

A typical day

I do lots of fun activities with the dogs that I watch! A favorite of many clients is “Barks and Crafts”, where your pup will have loads of fun (and get some tasty treats), and you’ll have a piece of art to treasure forever! Message me to ask for more info!:) I don’t have any particular place that I take dogs on walks, but we always take lots of pit stops so that your pup can enjoy the lovely scents of your neighborhood. With your permission, I’d love to take your pup to UIUC’s Japan House. It’s my dog’s favorite spot!
