Paws & Talk

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Megan! I have cared for and worked with animals since I was a teenager, and I began pet-sitting professionally in 2018. I'm a military spouse, mom of a high school senior, and pet mom to two cats and a senior golden retriever. Before becoming a mom and military spouse, I was an assistant vet tech. Since then, my family and I have fostered and cared for animals with various needs. My specialties include cat care, special needs, neonatal, and senior care. Before booking the first visit, we'll discuss a time to meet with your pet/s, letting everyone know that this is the best choice for your pet and their needs. Feel free to contact me with questions about drop-ins, cat care, small animal care, special needs, and rates. If it shows that I’m charging you twice for your dog and cat, I will modify your rates. My priority is to give you peace of mind while keeping your pets safe and engaged.

Megan did a great job taking care of my fur friends. She got a waited and made sure their needs were taken care of. She was also great at communicating how they did during her visit. Many Thanks Megan - sure is nice not to have to worry.

Megan was an absolute saint! This was our first time using a dog sitter and she did not disappoint. In fact she was everything and MORE! Our boy was so well taken care of and I felt completely at ease leaving him for a quick weekend!

Safety, trust & environment

Visits are set up to engage your pet while meeting their needs while you're away. Depending on your pet, this ranges from cuddling on the couch, playing games, or even just sitting near them to bring comfort when their humans are away. Visit length and price is dependent on your requests and the needs of your pet. Visits can include feeding, medication, water, clean up, litter box, and exercise. *For the well-being of indoor/outdoor cats; I do not let them outside at any point during a visit - even if it's part of their usual routine. This is for the safety of your cat while you’re away. If you have feral or barn cats who need food and water, I am happy to provide that. *Vacation/Travel Visits Include: trash to curb on pick-up days, lights on/off for lived-in appearance, plant care, mail/packages brought in upon request - I encourage photos or videos with instructions or visuals of locations

Information Megan G. would like to know about your pet

I would love to hear about what your pet enjoys doing, whether it is a favorite toy or the happy spot for petting. It's important that I know of anything that causes your pet anxiety, like loud noises, storms, or anything that you want to share about him/her. *For medical issues and medications, let me know as many details as possible to stay consistent with their care.

A typical day

I would be happy to care for your pet and keep it as close to the routine he or she is familiar with as possible. It is important to play and interact with your pets based on their likes/dislikes and routines while keeping their safety in mind.
