Pet care experience
I am currently a graduate student in New Haven, CT and am looking to make some new fur-baby friends! I grew up raising two pups (Ribby and Puck), who kept me busy; they are very energetic dogs who demand lots of attention, play, and companionship. I love taking active dogs on long walks, but also enjoy furry friends who prefer cozy nights on the couch. I am also the proud owner of Cuervo the cat- I grew up raising feline friends as well and love a good cat snuggle after a fun place session. I haven't met a dog or cat that I don't love to be around, and I'm sure your pet will be no exception! Animals really are man's best friends, and I would love to have the opportunity to give some special attention to your fur baby while you’re away! I understand that care of your pet is a sacred charge. I would 100% be willing to meet with you prior to services to ensure that I am the right fit for you pet! :) I know all too well the stress associated with leaving your pet, whether it be for just a few hours or for an entire week. Rest assured that your pet will be in loving hands in my care.

Megan is a very responsible, hard working, and fun-loving pet caregiver. She has a knack with animals, and takes time to play with and care for each of our pets at their level. She is as constructive with meeting the needs of our high-energy springer as she is with lovingly reassuring his 9-year-old brother who is shy and slower to warm up to people. (She is also great with our cats!) She has been very willing to patiently accommodate all of our needs (medications, post-surgical restrictions, favorite treats/toys, walks/runs, pumpkin added to the evening meal etc. ). We trust her implicitly and know that she genuinely cares about the animals placed in her charge. We also have appreciated her communication with us via updates and photos; she seems to understand the angst we feel over leaving our dogs and goes out of her way to make us feel comfortable via daily check-ins. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking dog caregiving assistance.

Our home is pet-proof, so your furry friend will be safe throughout the duration of their stay. I have experience in caring for dogs that do not do well with other animals, and can take special care to minimize stress during the duration of your pet’s stay.

I love taking dogs for walks! There are plenty of excellent walking routes in East Rock. Per the dog’s interest level, I also love a good daily play session.

I’m currently a full-time grad student, so I have flexibility in terms of walking and stay scheduling. I look forward to taking care of your pet between my classes and bringing them along for study sessions!
