Pet care experience

Refer a new client and get $15 off your next sit! *Discount applied after completed sit with new client. ROTATING AVAILABILITY GREAT FOR ONE-TIME, OCCASIONAL + AS NEEDED SITS! Can do Drop Ins, House Sitting + Walks. I’ve cared for many cats and larger dogs since I was young. My career experience is in disability care and vet medicine which helps me put animals at ease with my nonverbal communication. All fur babies want safety, security and live in their own special way. I love to find out the best way to give that to them.

She's prompt and really cares about her animals. Could not ask for a better sitter!

She was very kind and loving with our dog. Only would have liked more updates/pictures of her walks and about the overnight stay with her.

Very comfortable having Megan and her home taking care of cats. We have one in particular that has very particular medical needs and she understands and administers promptly and efficiently.

Safety, trust & environment

I love to meet animals ahead of time so it’s not completely new the first time I arrive for care. However I will always move slow, take my time and allow the animal to warm up to me in their own time. I’m comfortable working without a meet + greet as I meet new pets daily at work and successfully provide quality care. Working in vet care, I’ve learned what types of movements/behaviors can be seen as stressful or threatening. I feel confident I can pick up on nonverbal cues, knowing when to give space. I’m very patient and love to work to build relationships as we get to know each other.

Information Megan D. would like to know about your pet

eating habits, preferred way to take meds, common nonverbal cues, favorite toys and activities, fear triggers, normal bathroom habits. Normal level of energy and desire for touch.

A typical day

Playing physical games with toys both inside and out, walks, enrichment with kibble/treats (sniffing exhausts the mind!) verbal and nonverbal communication will help build trust and fun

I work a rotating FT schedule with morning shifts being 7-3 and evening shifts 12-8. I typically work a mix of these shifts each week. At least once per month I will have a week day off and work Saturday 7-2 instead. This gives me rotating flexibility with mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight and weekends.
