- Jax (Jack Russell Terrier & Rat Terrier) 6 years, 2 mo. old in Lansing, MI
Jax is a rescue! A co-worker of mine found Jax wandering outside of our office. He spent 5 of the worst weeks in the pound where he was updated on vaccines, spayed, contracted kennel cough, and dropped down to a little 7 pounds. He came to us with his entire spine showing, dandruff, crazy long claws, and to make it worse, we later found out he was in Kidney Failure with a few weeks to live. :(:( Fast forward 3 months and this dog has mystified the vet with improved kidney numbers and the chance to live for years!! He moved with us in August 2017 to MI and repays us with endless cuddles. I can't stand the thought of taking him to a kennel and I know he would appreciate meeting you and giving you cuddles! His white hair sheds frequently, so I don't suggest wearing dark clothes around Jax. Also, he loves sweaters and gets excited if you show him his favorite red one. :)
