Pet care is built into my daily routine — it’s not something I fit in around other commitments. When I’m booked for a stay, caring for your pet and home is my primary focus. I plan my days around feeding schedules, walks or potty breaks, playtime, rest, and any specific routines your pet is used to. I keep things consistent and predictable so pets stay relaxed, and I’m present in the home for most of the day. Any time away is communicated clearly in advance. I’m intentional about not overbooking so each household receives the attention it deserves. Your pet’s routine becomes my routine while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide care exclusively in your pet’s own home, where routines stay consistent and stress is minimized. My focus is always on safety, predictability, and respect for both the pet and the space. I follow all care instructions closely, maintain feeding and potty schedules, and handle doors, gates, leashes, and home security with care. I pay close attention to body language and energy levels, especially with anxious, senior, or routine-dependent pets. I keep the home tidy and secure throughout the stay and provide regular updates with photos so you’re always informed. If an emergency were ever to arise, I follow your instructions first, contact the listed veterinarian or emergency clinic, and keep you updated every step of the way. My goal is simple: relaxed pets and complete peace of mind for you.

Information Megan D. would like to know about your pet

Before a stay, it’s helpful to know your pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, and walk or potty preferences, along with any quirks, stressors, or comfort needs. Medical details are important as well, including medications, mobility needs, allergies, or sensitivities. For puppies or high-energy dogs, I appreciate knowing what training cues you use. I also like to review home details such as leash rules, security systems, cameras, and off-limits areas. The more I know ahead of time, the smoother and calmer the stay will be for everyone.

A typical day

A typical day is centered around your pet’s normal routine so everything feels familiar and low-stress. Mornings usually start with a calm potty break or walk, breakfast, and relaxed time together. Throughout the day, we rotate between walks or yard time, play, rest, and enrichment based on your pet’s energy level and preferences. That might include long walks, light play, puzzle toys, or quiet companionship. Evenings follow dinner routines, another walk or potty break, and calm wind-down time. I keep nights quiet and predictable so pets feel secure and settled. Every day includes attentive care, affection at their comfort level, and clear updates so you always know how things are going.

Pet care experience

What sets me apart is how present and attentive I am during each stay. I structure my days around your pet’s routine so they feel safe, settled, and cared for in their own environment. I have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments, including seniors, puppies, anxious dogs, and multi-pet households. I’m comfortable administering medications, managing special routines, and providing extra support for pets who need more time, patience, or consistency. Clients often tell me their pets relax quickly with me and that they appreciate my clear communication, proactive updates, and the care I take with their home. I take a “leave it better than I found it” approach and treat every home with respect. If you’re looking for someone reliable, calm, and genuinely invested in your pet’s well-being, you’re in the right place.

Megan did a great job, communicated often, and sent many pictures of Gracie so I didn't worry about her while I was away.

I genuinely could not be more grateful for Megan. She was beyond incredible and was so on top of it! She sent photos and videos and took the best care of Madison! I have a 90 pound cuddle bug who absolutely loved Megan! We are so thankful for her!! She even left Madison with a goodie bag and report card, it was the sweetest thing! She’s awesome!

Megan was amazing! Great communication, home was tidy and clean when we got home. Felt totally confident leaving our fur baby with her. Can’t wait to use her again! Thankful for the blessing she was!
