Treating your dog with as much love as my own!

Pet care experience

I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember but was never allowed my own dog throughout my childhood, so when I was 12 years old I started regularly taking my neighbour’s dog for walks instead. What began with just that one little Cocker Spaniel that I walked at least twice a week, over the years turned into me regularly looking after over fifteen different dogs so far of various breeds, ages, and personalities - some I used to only see about once a week, some up to twice a day, some have stayed with me overnight whenever their owners were out of town and others stay with me for one or two weeks once a year while their families travel abroad. Every dog I have ever taken care of over the past 11 years still has a very special place in my heart. I always try my absolute best to make every dog as comfortable and happy as possible, whether in my home or in their own, and adapt my routines to their unique personalities and their needs. I have experience with dogs of almost all sizes and ages, including puppies and seniors as well as dogs with disabilities. Whether your dog is super playful and outgoing or more on the anxious side needing a little time to settle in, I will always make sure they receive exactly the care they need in the way that works best for them. If you think your dog would enjoy exploring the world with us, please don’t hesitate to send me a message!

Megan was amazing again, stepped in at the last minute when another dog sitter didn’t show up. Will definitely use her again as she’s great with Freddie

Megan looked after Freddie for me on short notice and did an amazing job. She sent me pics and kept me updated the whole time so I knew everything was going okay. Freddie was a happy boy when I got home and had been well looked after. Thank you Megan!

Polli is allowed to go everywhere in the house that I go, including on beds and sofas. We also have a small backyard (fenced in but not escape-proof) with artificial grass for quick toilet breaks. Whether it is in our home or in yours, your dog will be treated and cared for like a true member of our little family.

A typical day

Polli and I go on two walks per day and love exploring new places to make our walks as interesting as possible. We currently live only a short distance from both Colwick Park and Colwick Woods, and regularly take the bus to Wollaton Park to go for lovely long walks there. We used to do agility and still do trick training for fun whenever we get the chance - Polli knows over 30 different tricks at the moment! Almost every single dog I know has enjoyed learning new things like these in one way or another, practicing little tricks together is especially fun and super rewarding for dogs of all sizes and ages. And even on days with bad weather life never gets boring here: we have a bunch of intelligence games to play inside, I sometimes hide treats for Polli to find, or we get out our balance board to work on her coordination.
