Pet care experience
I have had pets of my own all of my life and I have spent the better half of my life helping others take care of their pets as well. I have many years of experience house/pet sitting, where I have taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and other animals for days, overnight stays, and even weeks at a time. I have also worked in a pet store as well as on a ranch where I tended to our resident ranch animals including burros, chickens, and goats. I have such a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes and I am so excited about using some of my free time to help take care of your pets! Currently located in Chicago, just above Winnemac Park.

Megan is amazing, as usual! She really came through to take care of my cat while I was away, and I know they had a great time together. Her updates were always so lovely and fun!
Megan is GREAT. She was so sweet and loving with our boy, Ted! We got so many updates and photos even though it was just a single night sleepover. When we came to pick him up, it seemed like he didn’t want to leave! Megan’s own dog, Paisley, is also the sweetest little lady and she gets along great with our boy. We already have plans to book her again and will absolutely be using her regularly. Thanks so much for a great first Rover experience!!
5 stars is simply not enough! Megan watched our dog and cat over our wedding weekend into our honeymoon. She simply gave the BEST updates, the best pictures and made our animals feel so loved and cared for over such a special weekend for us. She made our house feel so welcoming to come home too after a long trip, she is simply the best! She went above and beyond for us and we and our animals love her so so so much and I believe she would do literally anything for us. I could cry just writing this. She is THE BEST.

I live with my partner (now husband!) of 9 years, who is also a lifelong animal lover. We have two bunnies who live in an indoor fenced-in enclosure. They grew up with our late dog, Paisley, who was a dachshund/corgi mix and have been exposed to many other visiting dogs and there has never been an issue, so long as the dogs are sweet and gentle. Dogs will never be left alone with access to our rabbits. Our third floor apartment is fairly spacious, with a long hallway perfect for zoomies and playing fetch.

A typical day
I love spending time with dogs, both indoors and outdoors. Because we do not have a yard, we will spend lots of time outside going for walks and exploring the neighborhood. We live very close to parks and green spaces, perfect for long walks and play sessions. After lots of playtime, I also enjoy snuggling up on the couch with a dog in my lap and a good book or a movie.

I’m currently working full time Saturday-Wednesday. I currently have open availability on Thursdays and Fridays and evening availability the rest of the week, after 5pm.
